Beautiful! Must see in Lake Tahoe
Jun 2021
Easy walk, short distance, but be careful! Must see near Emerald bay. Get there EARLY! Limited parking. Beautiful pictures from there.

Easy access
May 2021
One of the more easily accessible falls in Lake Tahoe. Parking fills up quickly. Short walk to get to area below bridge, with some rocks and trees to get around. Not difficult.
You can sit next to cliff where the water spills over. We were there in May, so water runoff from snow was still at a good volume.

Pretty waterfall
May 2021
The waterfall is as pretty as most but nothing spectacular and not worth the parking fee and walk just to see it unless you want to go on a trail hike through the park. The parking lot is very small and usually filled on the weekends.

Eagle lake
Nov 2020
The hiking trail was amazing after the first snow of Fall 2020. If you have it in you, our recommendation is not to stop at the upper falls bridge. It is definitely worth continuing on to Eagle lake.

OK hike, but not as scenic as some other trails nearby
Sep 2020
Visited in September, quite busy on a weekend. Very little water in the stream, no real waterfall at this time.

Steep hike but worth it
Aug 2020 • Couples
Little hike, steep walk back up. Nowhere to park and had to pull off on the side of the road. Not much water in the falls this time of year but it was still pretty and relaxing. Didn't take long to get there and made the trek back up the hill in about 20 minutes.

Water is Low
Oct 2019 • Couples
We continued on after hiking down to Vikingsholm. Follow the signs. As someone said in a review it’s 300 BUT only to the First bridge. I’m sure in the Spring you can see water flowing down, but that is NOT the Falls. You’ll see a sign that points .02 miles more to the right. Follow that path & up A LOT of rock stairs. Great area to view the lower Falls. Even with the water low it was still so pretty. I can only imagine how heavy it is in the Spring. The bright sun affected my photos so much :/ not complaining because we could see it well in person & it was an amazingly beautiful day. So in all it’s about .07 of a mile round trip to the Falls not counting the hike to vikingsholm. Just Don’t stop at the first bridge as it continues on to the right.
