We had an amazing time with Captain Troy and learned so much about the Lake Tahoe area. It was an exceptional ride and we highly recommend it to anyone!

After comparing to other tours, this seemed like the best deal for the price. Were able to pick a time and place that worked for us and where we wanted to go. Very flexible and Capt. Troy told us lots of interesting stories about the places we saw and was a generally nice guy.

Spent a wonderful evening on the lake with our family touring Lake Tahoe. Troy was more than accommodating, flexible, friendly and fun. We did two hours in the evening and it was beautiful time. We would highly recommend Tahoe Lake Tours and Troy.

Six of us took a 3 hour tour with Captain Troy. His knowledge of the lake and surrounding area is top notch, his patience and easy smile are very refreshing. The lake is beautiful, clear, cold and full of history. The history of the tea house island, house and property is fascinating, the Godfather location is extremely cool to see, and no tour is complete without jumping in Rubicon Bay. I highly recommend this tour, and plan to take another tour with Captain Troy on our next visit to lake Tahoe.

If you only do one thing at Lake Tahoe, this is it. Great views of the lake and its beaches. Captain Troy was extremely helpful. This is the best way to see the lake in all its beauty.

We road aboard the Tahoe Queen; a true paddlewheeler on our tour of Lake Tahoe. We took the early afternoon tour (although evening tours are available with meals). The trip starts at South Lake Tahoe and heads north to Emerald Bay; the most picturesque spot on Lake Tahoe. And Lake Tahoe has no shortage of beauty no matter where you are along its route. The waters are tourqoise, emerald and deep sapphire blue depending upon the depths. Sometimes you can capture all the varying hues of blue in one photo shot.
Snacks are availabe for purchase. And I'd highly suggest bringing sunglasses, sun hat and sunscreen as the rays reflected off the lake are fairly strong. (No smoking is allowed on these trips. The region is very protective of Lake Tahoe's pristine, clear waters and endevours to prevent litter from being thrown into the lake.)
The tour is round-trip and approximately 2 1/2 hours long and is a great way to spend an afternoon.

We thoroughly enjoyed our tour of Lake Tahoe with Captain Troy. He has an engaging personality and he truly does have a wealth of knowledge about the lake and its history. A highlight was a visit to historic Vikingsholm in Emerald Bay, but the entire cruise was incredible. Thanks Troy - we wouldn't change a thing!

We had an amazing time with Captain Troy. He as friendly and knowledgeable about the lake and the area. We called the night before and he responded immediately and was able to book the time we wanted. We also asked at arrival if we could add time if we wanted to see more and he was good with that too! Would highly recommend to anyone to book this tour - great way to see the lake and mountains from the lake view. You see so many more of the beautiful houses that you can not see from the road. You see so much more of the rocks and trails you also can not see from the road. Thanks Captain Troy, we had a great time!

First, I would like to thank Captain Troy for an extraordinary tour. Our group was definitely a difficult task to take on with 3 small children. I commend Captain Troy for accommodating us with ease. He was extremely helpful and great with the children. He called us a little ahead of our arrival time to make sure we found the marina easily. I had read several reviews regarding this tour which helped us choose this tour. Everything written in the reviews were accurate and the tour was above our expectations. It was a wonderful experience and our group learned a lot about the lake and the surrounding areas. It was definitely the highlight of our trip and we look forward to booking a trip again next year. August 2015
