Great time. Not for the weak.

We had a great time but the hike was hard. The drive was even harder. BUT the views are breathtaking! The instructions for a newbie and patience was greatly appreciated. I felt... read more

This shop saved me after I forgot my prescription sunglasses at home. I inquired in several shops in the casino area about the type of sunglasses that fit over regular glasses (Cocoons). No one there had them and didn't seem interested in trying to help me find them. A little Googling and a quick drive to Tahoe Fly Fishing fixed... More

As one of the uninitiated, fly fishing always seemed less like sport fishing and more like an "activity" for affluent and boring old white guys. Since I tend to see myself as more outgoing (though I confess that I otherwise fit the bill as a middle-aged, affluent, white guy), I never really had much interest in fly fishing. Thankfully, my... Booked a half-day and took the wife. She learned to cast and caught the first and biggest fish. Our Guide Peter was great and very patient with her.

We went on a half day fly fishing trip on the Truckee River. The guide we had from Tahoe Fly Fishing Outfitters was fantastic! We meet at the shop at 6:30 am and gathered up the equipment, waders and boots and headed out. This was not our first fly fishing adventure but we are still novices. He was extremely helpful... Enjoyed our 3/4 day trip I with Brian. He is a very knowledgeable and personable guide. Was able to put us on to some nice trout despite challenging flow and wind conditions. Even passed along a few pointers I will use back home. Highly recommended.

I went on a half day fly fishing trip with Jay on the Carson Rivers (east and west). I had a BLAST and learned a TON. Jay was very professional, had high quality gear for me to use (i have my own stuff but he supplied everything needed), was VERY knowledgeable, and was super friendly. I ended up landing around... I just returned from a fly fishing trip with Jared from Tahoe Fly Fishing Outfitters. He was extremely knowledgeable about the area and went above and beyond to see that I had a good time and caught fish. I would highly recommend anyone looking for a fly fishing guide in the Tahoe area to give them a call.

The guide we had from Tahoe Fly Fishing Outfitters was great! Dan was incredibly knowledgeable about not only fishing, but about the area as well. I've never been fly fishing before my experience with TFFO. I now look forward to fly fishing again, and never have any desire to use a spinning reel in the future :-)

During a vacation week at South Lake Tahoe, we decided to try Fly Fishing, something I had no experience in. We visited Tahoe Fly Fishing Outfitters on Lake Tahoe Blvd, and signed up for a half-day guided fishing trip. This was a great experience, better than any of our expectations. My fishing partner had fly fished a little, but not... More
