Imagine a true Nordic Fjord and a house built in the heart of it... That is what you will find when you visit Valhalla. This is remnant of the 'robber baron' days where you find a house that a widow baroness built in her attempt to replicate homes of the old land. Make sure you check the schedule and come... More

Opening night for the season was FUN!!! Great spot, not a bad seat in the house. The band was outstanding, The Earls of Newton. The place sells out fast, only 164 seats in the house. Hope to go again next time we are Tahoe. If you stay at Camp Richardson it is a very short walk to the boathouse.

We attended a wedding at Valhalla and it was nothing short of gorgeous! The views were breathtaking and the grounds were clean, well groomed. It is private and you can not just drive in but open to public that walk through from surrounding Camp Richardson.

A walk through the past, highlighting the homes of some the original family estates, and providing historical information about the Lake Tahoe area.

Beautiful part of Tahoe during the week and I had my dog off leash. Lovely wooded area, serene and very peaceful. I imagine at the weekends it is packed but when I went it was empty.

We stopped through here and stomped around in the snow. It was a quiet place to hike, without the hustle and bustle of the tourist trapped other areas. It is a beautiful spot in the winter. We saw quite a bit of cross country skiing tracks. My pup loved to run amok freely. :)

The Valhalla Grand Hall is a marvelous spot to visit by bicycle, car or in our case for a family wedding - by bus. The building was constructed in an age of care and quality and is beautiful. The hall holds many guests comfortably as it has several rooms and an upstairs. Visit if you can as the grounds are... More

We rode our bikes from Tata lane to Valhalla. We walked our bikes on the trails and visited all the different very interesting buildings. They were worth the visit.
