If you come to Valhalla, plan to be there as much time as possible!! You'll probably want to throw down a sleeping bag and stay!! The building is beautiful, and the huge room with a fireplace is totally uniquely amazing for a wedding setting (probably can only fit up to like 100, unless you spill out into the foyer)!! And... Valhalla has a great program of events in their historic boathouse which has wide doors in the front of the theater for a spectacular view of the lake. We went to see Molly's Revenge, a Celtic Band, and they were wonderful and so full of energy. It's an intimate setting on the lake and all the seats are good. We... More

We passed by this place on bikes. It was fun to see but a bit challenging to find out what you could see.

We just had our wedding at this venue. I will admit the venue is beautiful and we are very happy with our wedding however, we are VERY disappointed with the event manager/ building manager. At 745am , THE day after our wedding, we woke up to a nasty email about not getting our of the building on-time and she wanted... More

We viewed the mansions of Lake Tahoe this year and found them all to be wonderful and helped is understand the Tahoe area even more. It's a great place to step back into time and see how other folks enjoyed the lake.

A peek into the summer life of Wealthy Families in the early 1900's. Valhalla, Pope and Tallac Historic Sites offer visitors tours, art shows, live theater and lovely walking and bike trails. The sites are available for weddings or special gatherings.

Imagine a true Nordic Fjord and a house built in the heart of it... That is what you will find when you visit Valhalla. This is remnant of the 'robber baron' days where you find a house that a widow baroness built in her attempt to replicate homes of the old land. Make sure you check the schedule and come... More

Opening night for the season was FUN!!! Great spot, not a bad seat in the house. The band was outstanding, The Earls of Newton. The place sells out fast, only 164 seats in the house. Hope to go again next time we are Tahoe. If you stay at Camp Richardson it is a very short walk to the boathouse.

We attended a wedding at Valhalla and it was nothing short of gorgeous! The views were breathtaking and the grounds were clean, well groomed. It is private and you can not just drive in but open to public that walk through from surrounding Camp Richardson.
