On Monday, I had a wonderful experience at Puzzle Room Tahoe. I am visiting from New York City and have done plenty of puzzle rooms in the past, and I was pleasantly surprised with how elaborate this puzzle was. Unlike other puzzle rooms, it is friendly to groups of all ages. Although they only offer one puzzle now, I was told by my accommodating host, Sean, that more are in development as we speak. I am looking forward to coming back to South Lake Tahoe for my next vacation this winter to see what more that this creative designer has accomplished and what new puzzles will be in store. The attention to detail within the puzzle and the friendly service that was provided has make this establishment one that I will not forget and will always recommend to others. Lastly, a convenience that Puzzle Room Tahoe has to offer is the privilege of booking a reservation ahead of time, or if a slot is open you can book it Within as short of a notice of 10 minutes. Highly recommend!

My spouse and I were at Lake Tahoe for a week and decided on one of the days to check out the Puzzle Room. We booked the Below Ground room and had a lot of fun escaping. It's a linear room (one puzzle follows another) and a bit of a tight squeeze (I would not recommend more than 3 people to do that room or you'll be stepping on each other and people will stand around while one puzzle is being worked on - also there is one room that has 2 identical rooms, so you can break up a bigger group into 2 and have a race to escape). In the game play, we did get one hint which in retrospect was a "duh" clue. - those times when you literally say the answer, then skip over the lock and forget you already know the combination. Anyhow, gamemaster Albert was awesome so we decided once we'd finished Below Ground to go ahead and do Lost Cabin since it was available. It was another linear story, but clever with several of its puzzles, not a lot of locks in this one! We successfully escaped again, and went ahead and booked Valley of the Kings for the following day. Kings is a bigger room with more creative puzzles though a couple were a little more challenging and we did need a couple of hints. We were sure we'd run out of time, but had 3 minutes to spare when we escaped. Albert walked us through all three rooms and took time to explain some mechanics, some changes they're going to make, and to listen to our suggestions (for example, one of the puzzles clearly has "don't touch" on it multiple times, so super easy to skip over). The rooms are a little rough in their design (exposed pipes and wiring, that sort of thing) but they have ambiance, which we love. Do we recommend? Absolutely! And be nice to Albert, he's delightful and when we were there it was all him... gamemaster, welcoming players, scheduling, resetting rooms, and he took the time to chat with us which we really appreciated.

My partner and I booked 'The Valley of The Kings' room on a Friday evening for a fun experience and we were a little worried that as the rooms were for 2-7 people that we may get a group of 5 book in the same slot with us and drown us out/ignore us but to our pleasant surprise it looks like once we booked the slot for the two of us, it then became unavailable to book for anyone else and we had the room to ourselves. There were 2 rooms as part of our challenge and they were very interactive. The theme was great and we'll thought out and the clues had a nice range from easy/medium difficulty to challenging. We escaped the room with 3 minutes to spare and would both highly recommend this place! It was a great experience and we just had so much fun. Richard was the chap on duty and he is a very down to earth, lovely guy. Really helpful and the one time we asked for a clue he didn't over share and it still left us with a bit of a challenge to complete the riddle which was great.

They have 3 more rooms here and had we stayed longer we would have definitely tried the others out, particularly as they are great value for money. 10/10.

My family had two teams competing against each other in the game. The employees did not fully reset our playing field and it changed the outcome of who won and who lost. It really ended on a flat note, with some hard feelings. We immediately asked for a refund or a reduction in price, we were told they would have to check into it, after 15 minutes we left without getting any satisfaction from them. My suggestion is if you use the service, ask the employees to double-check the rooms prior to starting to ensure they did their job properly. the employees did not fully reset are playing field and it changed the outcome of who won and who lost. Due to the fact that they were sloppy and sitting up the game, but more importantly their customer service has a lot to be desired. Lot of things to do in South Lake Tahoe, this may not be one of them, :-(

This was our 2nd and 3rd time at this escape room. There are 4 different rooms. The clues are fun and challenging (although we did escape one room in 34 mins). We booked 1 room on Tuesday, but because we booked a second room for the next day we were given a considerable discount. Due to COVID, we were limited to just our family of 4 which makes it less chaotic. Definitely will get to the last (hardest) room next time and see if we can keep our 100% escape record!

My husband and I booked on a whim. We had never been to an escape room and weren’t quite sure what to expect. Tyler was our game master and he did well to let us try and think it out without too much steering. We didn’t make it out, but in hindsight I misunderstood a clue and ran with it and we wasted time on that. We did the lost cabin because my husband enjoyed the theme. We had a blast!!!! I wished that our trip was a little longer, we would have tried another one no problem. Some reviews we read say it’s dingy or really in need of repair. It wasn’t polished to 100% perfection. But take in mind people go in and get rough with the props. We could see where people tore things off that weren’t meant to be moved. Definitely a fun date for couples, and would do it again. But I would like to try something like this with more people to have fun bouncing ideas between

We play escape rooms when we travel and this one was a fun one. We did 2 rooms with just the 2 of us and we escaped the lost cabin with 10 min left and the Valley of Kings with 2 mins. Richard did a great job of being our host and was right there to answer when we needed a clue. We probably saved ourselves a couple hundred dollars by doing an escape room over gambling and we definitely had a better time.

Our family of four (including two teens) enjoy escape rooms, and Puzzle Room Tahoe did not let us down! We took on three of the four rooms during a visit in mid-July: Lost Cabin, Below Ground, and Valley of the Kings. Our favorite was Lost Cabin, but we enjoyed all three rooms. Managed to escape Lost Cabin and Below Ground, but not Valley of the Kings (it's a tough one, for sure!). Highly recommend visiting Puzzle Room Tahoe for some great fun!

So much fun! My friends and I decided to try this escape room last minute and were so excited when they had availability and easy same day online booking. Our group of four did the “Valley of the Kings” room and it was the perfect level of challenging. Tyler was a great puzzle master and gave great hints via walkie talkie when necessary. Highly recommend to others—-we plan on doing another room the next time we visit.

The location was very run down and needed maintenance. No prior description or background provided for the room. Have been to other escape rooms that have a screen that provides a description, background, and history of the room. Would also receive clues through the screen. My teens were not happy with this location.
