The Baldwin beach is located at the south of Lake Tahoe, inside to the Emerald Bay, a nice place of this amazing lake.
To Access the beach is necessary pay US$10,00 by car, value that allow to visit the Pope Beach, nearby of this.
There is prohibited dogs, cats, ducks and other kind of animals. Also is not alowed do barbecues, to be nude or use drones.
All view there is fantastic, in any season. At the spring time you can see the top of mountains defreezing, and the trees green. If you're a brave person, you also can dive at the cold water, but only for a few minutes. At the summer the weather is very hot, but also you can enjoy the beach during all day. At the autum and the winter the rule is protect the body against the cold weather, but the beautiful white scene of the nature is something special.
For me this beach is less good to enjoy, comparing with the Pope beach, because pope beach has delicious shadows from the trees that are close to the beach. But despite this i recomend it!

Great beach. Clear water. Great views.
However the sand is not soft but comprises of sharp pebbles so make sure that your kids are wearing beach sandals. Also I hate the idea of letting such a large number of unruly lightly regulated rogue boaters on this lake. I wish that there was a policy to limit the total number of boaters to a very small number. It would be perfect if they could ban all motorized boats on this lake. Specially during long weekends the drunk boaters were clearly a danger to beach going swimmers and snorkelers (as the boats got too close) as well as to other boaters.

We went to two beaches while in South Tahoe: Baldwin Beach and Pope Beach. Of the two, we liked Baldwin Beach much better. The sand here is a little finer and not full of pine needles like at Pope Beach. You can rent kayaks and SUP at either beach for a very reasonable price. From Baldwin Beach, you can kayak to Emerald Bay and back in 2.5 hours. The $10 parking pass is good for all day. Bring some floats; so much fun in the water on a hot late-July day!

Our trip to Baldwin Beach was stopped at the gate. We wanted to launch our kayaks and paddle to Emerald Bay. Our kayaks are heavy sit upon style and we transport them on a small trailer. NO TRAILERS are allowed. Our disappointment was great as we had studied the park website and did not see any reference to no trailers allowed. I would offer that the Federal agency and it's concessionaire should state clearly in the website for Baldwin Beach that no trailers are allowed for any reason.

THis is a very nice beach which you do have to pay for parking access. THere is a parking lot off the main road across the street which is free and you can walk in there (maybe a 10min walk). Beach has some picnic tables and a few activities. Seemed a little more quiet than some of the other ones, possibly due to the parking fees?

Been to several beaches at Lake Tahoe. Very nice beach with the best restroom facilities by far. Flushing toilets and no smell. Water is great here. Arrive early as the lot fills up fast!

We were so disappointed in Baldwin Beach. We paid the $10/car entry fee and gather our things and head to the beach and there are so many geese wandering around?! What do geese do when they wander? Poop! There was goose poop everywhere! So gross, telling the kids to watch each step they take. We couldn't lay our our blanket as there was no space that didn't have poop. The kids played at the waters edge (which didn't have goose poop) and we sat at a picnic table that became available and was near the waters edge but it was far from a relaxing beach experience. Then the geese get in the water and probably poop there too :-( If the beach was clean it would have been great.

Baldwin. Beach is our go to beach while we're in Lake Tahoe. We bring our bikes with us and head out from this point for a fantastic long fun bike path ride. Then when we come back to this nice cream color sand beach for some r&r and a picnic it's the perfect setting. Across the lake you can take in all the beauty of the area. I highly recommend BB.
