Alongside with Tailing and Jingling mausoleums nearby Pucheng this trilogy is one of the best to do for visitors who are interested in Tang dynasty's funeral architecture. Very impressive alleys sided by alignments of high carved stones mainly representing guards and horses, pairs of fierce and vivid big lions surrounding the main gates to the mausoleums, infinite straight perspectives from the terraces to the loess plain... Climbing the mounts behind or above mausoleums is an unforgettable experience with breathtaking views from the top. That is a pity to let foreign visitors to Xi'an ignoring such places to focus them on Qin's warriors... Pucheng is at only 1h 1/2 driving from Xi'an and these three locations are easy to find. Jingling is very surprisingly crossed by a circulation road so that horses are suddenly visible aligned at the top of loess berms, amazing...…
