We made a somewhat last minute decision to honeymoon in Mozambique, and from the moment I reached out to Martina I was treated to prompt and thorough assistance in our booking.
She helped with dates, flights, recommended a BEAUTIFUL guesthouse nearby and sent me info for a taxi driver who was both lovely and reasonably priced. I feel like I bombarded her with questions, but she always replied within a couple of hours.

The staff are all just fantastic. We dove with Gerry and Moses looking after us who were kind and enthusiastic throughout. Even if we didn’t see the big stuff on some dives we still chatted about the smaller stuff we saw (which is still all awesome!) and…I never caught the name of the gentleman who was driving the boat to the dive sites…but he spotted a whale shark on the way to one site and did not hesitate to swing the boat around and find the perfect (and safest) entry spot for us to swim alongside this beautiful creature. Another day we were surrounded by a pod of dolphins and Moses worked so hard to find the perfect time for us to jump in and swim with them. A moment that I will treasure forever.

We got a fab deal on a Nitrox course as well so we were both certified for the remainder of our dives. In fact when I came to settle the final bill I was pleasantly surprised at the total!

My advice to anyone visiting Tofo is: give yourself a few days for multiple dives. The ocean is not an aquarium, nothing is guaranteed, so the more dives you do the better your chance of spotting the big stuff! We were lucky enough to see whale shark, mantas, HUGE morays, loggerhead turtles, all the way down to cute little nudis and so much more. One day of diving was unfortunately cancelled due to poor weather, Martina was incredibly apologetic…like she controls the weather?! It was no issue for us, we had a day to relax in the sunshine and get back on it the next day when it was safer.

Peri Peri also work alongside the Marine Megafauna Foundation, so they not only support vital research into the local marine life but they also occasionally have researchers joining for dives. This was such an incredible opportunity for us as we learnt SO MUCH from the researchers about whale sharks and mantas, diving with them is magical but it’s also so important to learn about them and their important roles in the ocean.

We’re already planning our next trip back, unfortunately it will be in a couple of years, but I won’t hesitate to contact Peri Peri once again for their first class service. We cannot thank you guys enough and can’t wait to dive again with you soon!

Four of us rocked up with the hope of doing the Ocean Safari, and not long after we were on the boat spotting Manta rays with giant smiles all around. From start to finish, what an exceptional team, facility and experience! Felt super safe after briefing and meeting the very knowledgeable crew members. Enjoyed the safari even more than I thought I would. Never felt rushed, was able to relax and enjoy it all! Had some good laughs trying to get back on the boat, especialy after a few hop ons/offs!
Afterwards, I was even more surprised by their hospitality as we were offered some freshly popped popcorn and refreshments, showers, and we could enjoy the loungers/ pool.
But the materialistic things would mean nothing without the staff! Thank you to everyone at Peri-Peri Divers for your hospitality, your friendly nature and just for having a lekke attitude!

Would highly recommend Peri-Peri Divers and will definitely make use of their service again!

Loved diving with Peri Peri in one of the most beautiful places I’ve been, both over and under water. The staff is super helpful, professional and enthusiastic about diving and the ocean, and on the three dives I did, there were always researchers coming out with us, from Megafauna Foundation, which made it even more interesting. Dive master Jerry was fantastic to dive with, he was super patient and good at my refresher dive, I always felt safe and taken care of, and always spotting little and big fish when diving. Same with Moses, Arno, Beto, Betinho, Armando and all the other good people at Peri Peri, thanks so much! Hope to come back 😍🦈✨

I had two incredible weeks with Peri Peri Divers I will never forget!

From the first contact all information were provided immidiately and being in touch with the team was absolutely convenient and reliable at any time!

Arrived in Mozambique the service and locations were just on fleek! The pickup from the airport and the arrival late in the First lodge in Morrungulo were so convenient, that you could relax and leave every day life just behind… the absolute stunning sunrise to see just from your lodge at the Indian ocean the next Morning, was overwealming and the trip just got started: from there on every single dive and snorkel swim was just a once in a lifetime experience! We dived with humpbacks, mantas, sharks, whale sharks on a daily basis. And I really mean it, we saw at least on of these incredible creatures on every single dive!!! Absolutely amazing!

The diving gear was safe and reliable at any time and all the staff were so nice, friendly and supporting whenever you had any question…

We finished the trip with a Safari in the Kruger and once again the wildlife experience was outstanding: spotting of the famous big five was guarranted and the cheetah kill of an Impalla was just a highlight!

Overall I can only recommend booking with Perry Perry Divers: it was my first Africa trip and I was a Bit concerned about security, food and health in advance of the trip, but there was no need to! I felt safe at any time and any location, didn‘t matter, if we went out in a group or of I was exploring the Locations on my own.
The food was excellent and I didn‘t have any issues with a bad stomach or anything like it. Regarding health, Per Peri provided protection and support with sea sickness pills for the boat trips or mosquito nets in the lodge rooms…

I absolutely loved this trip and hopefully come back at some point!

Dived 2 days with Steve in Morrungulo and it was exactly what we had hoped for and so much better. The diving setup is very professional, and different experience to what we had done before (negative entry/beach launching). We got to snorkel with humpbacks and dolphins in addition to the two dives a day - making each day incredibly good value.
We didn’t stay here, but regretted not as the accommodation set up looked great and the breakfast/lunch we had there was very tasty.
All in all- amazing set up, Steve is a great bloke who equal parts great fun and very professional and trustworthy with the diving. Would 100% recommend, and hope will get to return in the future!

Our experience with Peri-Peri is hands down one of the best travel and adventure experiences of our lives. From the very first WhatsApp contact with Steve we were provided with a wealth of information and advice on travel arrangements, dive gear and visas. Steve was always available to answer any questions we had about the trip and put our minds at ease with changing Covid restrictions.

On arrival at Vilanculus we were greeted by Nick and a cold beer before heading off to our first stop in Morrungulo. Morrungulo is an exceptionally special place, the lodge is beautiful and overlooks the ocean with humpback whales breaching in abundance. The diving was incredible, to be the only boat on the water exploring untouched dive sites provided a remarkable experience. During our dives we saw humpback whales, manta rays, leopard sharks and white tip sharks to name but a few. The dive team were exceptional to our needs and during the surface interval we were provided with lunch and the opportunity to swim with the beautiful humpbacks on several occasions. The evening meals provided by Artur were delicious, fresh fish, salads and the best garlic bread! The lodge is located above the most stunning beach that stretches for miles and the evening sunset walks finished off wonderful days.

From Morrungulo we headed to Tofo for the next part of our adventure. Another beautiful hotel overlooking the ocean with Nick also organising a number of lovely evening meals during our stay. Peri Peri's dive centre is exceptional and it is clear to see how much the whole team love their work. The main aim for Tofo was to swim with whale sharks and we were not disappointed, on one morning we had a whole hour swimming with these gentle giants.

Next was our drive to Ponta do Ouro, although long, the van was comfortable and Nick provided snacks and drinks to keep us refreshed for the trip. The diving in Ponta was an all together new experience with four deep dives to the Pinnacles. Here, we were treated to the company of a number of Hammerhead sharks and a curious Tiger shark who finished the experience on a high.

The final leg of the journey took us to Kruger National park in South Africa. We stayed in a beautiful brand new lodge along with fire pit and BBQ. We experienced two full days of game activities where we were fortunate to see four of the Big 5 including a spectacular experience with cheetah, hyena and lion on the second morning.

Overall, Peri Peri provided a 5* experience from start to finish. We experienced outstanding diving, delicious food, beautiful accommodation and we hopefully made lifelong friends. Nick's passion, dedication and attention to detail is rare in today's travel industry and he was instrumental in making our experience so wonderful.

Thank you to Peri Peri!

Peri Peri runs a great dive programme. Staff is courteous and professional, equipment is in good condition, their Divemasters know the good sites to visit at the right time of year, and they take safety seriously.

My favorite thing about Peri Peri is that they genuinely care about the quality of your dive experience and the memories that come with it. I am grateful to them.

The building is very new and you can see that it’s designed from divers for divers. Every little detail makes sense and the day of diving a bit more comfortable. This goes on with the staff including four local Instructors or DMs. All the process from getting the equipment to the debrief of the dive is very professional and perfectly organized. Plus the dives were great and the choice of the dive site always fitting to the conditions and the preferences of the divers. Excellent dive center.

Almost two months after completing my four dives for the SSI open water diver program and passing my written test I still have not received my certification. I have written numerous mails to have updates requesting that my certification be issued but after some initial responses saying they were working on it now they have gone completely quite and wont reply to any more mail or queries.

Its a pity because the local staff are really good but as you work your way up to customer service and management there is a drastic drop in quality. Even though I have paid for the full course and certification I'm now still uncertified and unable to continue my training elsewhere. Have also written to SSI regional office to elicit a response. This is quickly turning from a farce to a potential scam.

Hi Nicola, thanks for taking the time to put up the review, although terrible which hursts to see of course as we do pride ourselves in customer service. Unfortunately this was a small issue which snowballed to this review and we can only apologise and learn from it. Firstly we do always put through certifications immediately on completion of a course and will always do it with the customers present. However on this occasion you had left and we were missing a photo and address in order to process your certification. We did try to contact you in order to amend this which did take time. I can reassure you that your certification has been done and I really do hope you had a good time and can forgive this little hiccup. Nick

We organised an ocean safari with Peri Peri divers, hoping to see the whale sharks!
The tour was great fun, and the outfit very professional. Caring, fun, friendly and good equipment and facilities. The staff are all excellent and we got up close with the whale sharks under water. An amazing experience that we feel procreated to have shared. Highly recommend you talk to PeriPeri Divers to arrange any sort of water activities. Thankyou!
