Wow is probably an understatement !! When I was a "Young" lad, Spitfires were "The" plane. The sound of the Merlin engine sent shivers down my spine. My son is in the Royal Navy and has quarters right next to Lee-on-Solent Airfield. Often the Boultbee Spitfire comes up literally over the hedge. Fantastic. Knowing my passion, my partner organised the Spitfire Experience as a present. I believe she was introduced to you by a fellow Bridge player. I booked this experience as a 60th birthday treat for my husband and was so glad I did. He throughly enjoyed the experience and would return tomorrow if he could!! Jeremy was an amazing instructor who clearly took his role of mentor seriously and with a true passion and respect for a Spitfire which made the flight seem even more authentic. We were greeted by the owner who was very welcoming and it was interesting to hear how much money they had raised over time. Overall a really wonderful experience that was perfect for a 60th birthday treat. Thank you.

What an absolutely fantastic experience 👍👍👍. Gerry was my instructor and explained everything in detail and made sure I understood what I was to do and he stood alongside me for the duration of the flight and his guidance was superb so much so that I even managed to avoid crashing into the bridge as I suddenly seemed to lose my spatial awareness but Gerry was there so it all came good. I can’t recommend this highly enough and you actually felt as though you were in the plane and could feel the vibrations and hear the sounds as if it was actually happening. Will definitely be going again. Bought the book written by Brian and thoroughly enjoyed it.

As an experienced but out of practice professional pilot I found the Spitfire Experience amazingly enjoyable. Peter, the instructor, pitched his guidance at exactly the right level for my background to make it an informative and fun session. I would recommend this to anyone from any background, and it certainly was a brilliant birthday present for me, which brought back many fond memories of my career.
