I have recently moved to Bushey and the Rose Garden is one of Bushey’s many jewels. A beautiful garden to visit at any time of the year. Currently there are still a few roses raising their heads and many exquisite tiny cyclamen flowers blooming as well as the many fragrant herbs and other plants.

It's always quiet when I come here. The gardens are kept beautifully in summer. You'll enjoy the display, especially if you love roses. Somewhere to come to relax and take in your surroundings. A nice spot to bring a packed lunch.

Visited with my daughter and her friend after going to the museum, took a picnic lunch.
It was so pretty and the smell of the flowers scented the air. Only a few other people were there and it was a lovely afternoon strolling through the grounds and sitting on the plentiful benches dotted around. Can't wait to go back. There is a picture in the museum (a short walk away) of the original house and garden. Glad we saw that first.

Lived in Bushey for 30 years and have been coming to this garden since I arrived. It has never looked so good and the fountain is working again.

Discovered this place by accident. It is so beautiful. Went with 5 yo who loved exploring the different areas and features. There are bug hotels, bird tables, a funky bike rack and the roses are gorgeous. There are also some interesting architectural features that are unexpected but beautiful. So quiet and peaceful.

This is a small formal garden just off the main road. Parking is possible and free nearby.
The roses are attractive in the summer. The park is less impressive at other times of the year.
The garden is nothing out of the ordinary - just a pleasant place to sit and think when the weather is suitable.
There are some small cafés nearby on the main road.

Certainly is a hidden gem. Hard to see behind a wall along the main road. Plenty of benches to enjoy the roses.

Went to see the garden in the hope some roses might still be in bloom in October. What a surprise! The garden is beautifully laid out and full of colour. The history of the garden and its renovation is fascinating. We ended up sitting on a bench reading the paper and thoroughly enjoyed the atmosphere It is a hidden gem and beautifully maintained. Obviously enjoyed by locals of all ages We stayed so long we did not have time to visit the museum nearby!

Any time, the gardens are well kept, maybe wait for some more Sun, to get flowers into full bloom, maybe go early to mid June.

Yes...
From Hertsmere Council website:
Dogs are welcome but must be kept on a short lead at all times and out of the flower beds. Dog bins are provided in the garden so please clean up after your dog.

I believe so. Of course the rules of cleaning up would apply.

What is the entry fee
It is free. I would go in the summer when it is at it's best. It is not large, but it is very pretty. While there go and see the Bushey museum too, a couple of minutes walk away which is also free and has amazing art works.
