The lovely paintings by Lucy Kemp Walsh

We took my husbands army friend to visit after Christmas and he was most impressed by the contents of the museum. Especially the paintings of horses

I popped in to the museum on Saturday morning and as always the stewards were very welcoming. There was an artist in residence painting,a talented young woman various other exhibitions and finished off by great tea and homemade cakes. This museum is a real asset to the village and it has a real sense of the community. Always a pleasure... More

My grandchildren aged 4 and 7 spent a delightful afternoon at Bushey Museum. The exhibits are child friendly and the museum is small enough not to be intimidating for them. There many things to gain their interest, an old school room, they just did not believe it, unfortunately I remember it all to well.

Everything you want to know about the village of Bushey can probably be found right here in this one building. There is a not unnatural leaning towards the artists Herkomer and Kemp-Welch. Give yourself plenty of time and/or come back time after time. For reasons beyond the control of the volunteers who run this place, the one drawback is the... More

What a gem. My first visit and definitely not my last. This place has interesting local history artefacts on the ground floor, from old archaeological finds to interesting wartime paraphernalia and gives a comprehensive history of the area. Upstairs is a wonderful collection of paintings from local celebrated artists who were local to the area. There was an art school... More

My wife and I decided to call in and enjoyed the visit to this well run museum with lots of exhibits of local history. Always check times though because I believe it isn't every day.

We had nothing to do one weekend and were looking for something local to entertain our young children. We had heard of the Bushey Museum but had never been there so decided to give it a try. It is quite easy to park on the road where the museum is located. The museum is free and the staff are very... More

As a bushey resident I am pleased to have such a good museum on my doorstep. It has some really interesting local exhibits and some lovely Herkomer paintings. Well worth a visit if you have a bit of time to spare.

I've just returned from visiting the Bushey Museum. What a treasure trove! Would highly recommend for anyone with an interest in Victorian art, film history, local history and for anyone who wants to know more about the model for 'Black Beauty'.
