Nice beach
Jul 2020 • Friends
Very nice beach. Super clean, I didn’t see any litter at all. Clean water. Food and drink vendors around. Beach chairs for rent at 40 baht per day. Very crowded during the weekend. I would love to come here midweek.

Great beach for clean water, fine sand, and cheap food
Feb 2019 • Family
After being turned away at two different entry points for the Turtle Conservation, we came here, paid our 40 baht and were thankful it was open for foreigners without a Thai guide. We rented a car for our trip to discover places just like this. The beach was great for our kids ages 2 and 4. Big air mattresses to rent, powdery sand, and clear warm water. This is actually the first day our kid saw have lasted for almost a whole day at the beach. We went on a Sunday, so it was packed! The busiest Thai beach I've ever been to - but we got there around 9:30, parked very close to the beach, got a front row seat, and enjoyed the day. It is difficult to eat at a beach with small kids (too much sand gets into the food), but we walked up to the kiosks selling food and they let us sit at a table just inside the kitchen (though it is mostly take away). Great lime shakes at the shake kiosk! We will definitely be coming here again. Looks like they are building a luxury resort just behind the south end of the beach, so time will tell what happens to this busy but pleasant gem of a beach.

The best beach around....
Jul 2018 • Family
A couple of clicks outside Sattahip yon will find Hat Nang Ram and Hat Nang Rong beaches.
In Navy land, there is an admittance charge for cars of ฿20 and (now) ฿20 for each 'farang.
These are the best beaches in the area.
Weekends, it's a devil of a job to park, so you need to come early.
People who use these beaches are predominately Thais.
Bring a picnic or you can buy (reasonably priced) Thai food.
There's plenty of shade and it's well maintained and fairly clean...

Clean beach
Aug 2018 • Family
Beach was kept very clean, not too crowded paid 40 baht for a deckchair for the day which was reasonable. Toilets could do with being cleaned better especially as they charge you to use the toilet. Was a selection of food outlets which served near on identical dishes at the same prices. Coconut ice cream was really nice and the little shack to get drinks was cheap.

Smoking area wasn't clearly sign posted as you are not allowed to smoke on this beach. So look out for the trees with a small sign on.

Good day out and weather really helped to enjoy it.

what a lovely beach you enter the naval base and have to leave you passport which the first time i was a bit apprehensive but its fine and safe then a drive through the base, about 15 mins drive sometimes see monkeys on the road dont attempt to to go near them go down to the beautiful beach carpark there , often not very busy in the week days busy weekends, lovely restaurants.can eat at a table or have your meal( lovely food) on the beach , several small bars to get a drink small charge for sun lounges.,you can take a trip in a boat if you so wish . sea water so crystal clear. there are small wooden lodges that can be rented for the night right on the beach if you so wish and wanted a romantic night on the beach, for a reasonable charge,..... beach is very clean and .really beautiful place.

A very clean beach at Sattahip
Jul 2018 • Friends
The Royal Thai Navy is in charges of this Nang Rum beach and it is in their area, this place is always tidy, clean and we normally meet people of manner here. Try avoid weekend and holiday if you love the quiet and peaceful place.

On sunny weather, scuba and skin dive are heading here and it is not far from Samae-san island, it is the heaven of fishing lover.

During this time July is rainy season for Thai Gulf beach, but Nang Rum beach is always popular for both Thai and foreign tourists. Good for a day trip.

If you wish to stay overnight in this area, you can contact the Royal Thai Navy. They have many kinds of accommodation like guesthouse, bangalow or studio room. Please make reservation in advance, they have their regulation and rules to follow. But it worth staying...
