The Uber Scuba family is a blend of Indonesian and international diving professionals who are united together to share their passion for ocean exploration, and the environment. Founded in 2015 by 4 diving instructor friends who, after living, diving and falling in love with Komodo over the years dreamed of starting their own company offering the kind of overall experience they were craving; epic diving, comfortable boats, friendly staff, and top notch customer service. Together, they scouted the best team they could have wished for. The multi-national and multi-lingual team truly make up the super fun, loveable and talented Uber Scuba family that it is. I can absolutely recommend Uber Scuba. I was diving with them for one week and it was just an incredible time. The staff is super friendly and they are always trying to let the customers feel as comfortable as possible. The staff on the boat is working hard and professional and the organization is just perfect. The boat is really comfortable and clean. There is a good place to chill and relax in the shade.As Uber Scuba and the hotel/hostel Seaesta is working together, it‘s always possible to get a very good discount for each diving day. And staying in Seaesta made the holidays just perfect. I‘ve never been to such an amazing and clean hostel with such friendly staff!
The only thing i could criticize would be the lunch on bord... it‘s actually not really good. If you are diving for one day, this would be okay. The taste is not good, and there is no diversity if you need to eat it every day . Uber Scuba should definitely change their lunch options in future. Feel a bit sorry for the crew or staff who needs to eat this everyday.
I would always recommend this dive Shop and accommodation and would always come back!! Fell in love with this place!

If you are staying at the much loved Seaesta Bar and Hostel you will be sure to have heard about the well established Uber Scuba dive centre ( also in Gilli T). We have dived all over the world and I have to say this was one of the best dive experiences we have had.
Don’t worry too much about getting breakfast before the trip, I made this mistake and bought doughnuts but they already had huge platefuls on board ( I think I ate 5). Tea, coffees water and a lovely lunch.
We had to undertake our refresher dive ( which unlike a lot of dive centres where they ask you to do this the day before or in the pool) at Uber Scuba, we all set out for the day and our first dive was the refresher. This worked so well, as then we had our second dive to enjoy over the reefs and the third dive we visited Manta Point. This was an unreal experience, we saw 3 Manta Rays fly over us and then two Ninja Manta Rays dance over the top of us.
The staff were very friendly, and always helped with your kit after and before every dive, they tired to make everything as easy as possible ready for each dive. Our dive instructor Paul, was super friendly and professional.
The day ended with a beautiful sunset on the way back to shore. Would highly recommend and can’t wait to head back soon and visit again. Thanks Uber Scuba.

By far the best scuba team/company I have ever seen. Efficient, reliable, SAFE, smart, and most important of all provided the best scuba diving I have experienced. We saw multiple manta rays dancing and even a blue ring octopus on our dives. The food on the boat was phenomenal. At all times I felt safe, taken care of, and felt the reliability of a well-oiled machine of a scuba company/team. If you are looking to scuba dive anywhere in Labuan bajo and Komodo islands please do not look any further, this will be the best scuba diving of your life with the best company I have ever had the pleasure of interacting with. Special shout out to Phil who is purely genuine and will go out of his way to help you with anything you need. We were very lucky to meet him. Also special thank you to dive masters Rian and Ervin who kept an eye on us at all times.

Amazing diving, its not cheap....but you get what you pay for.....right! Worth every penny. Be wary of some other centrea in the area they are not safe. Uber Scuba will select just as good alternative locations of some sites conditions are unfavourable.
My favourite dove sites were Cauldron, Castle Rock, Crystal Rock and Batu Balong. Of you have only 1 day go North. Also be aware that conditons change alot in Komodo and sometimes other sitea are only possible. Uber will always keep you safe from Beginner to Experienced Divers.
Local and international instructors are very knowledgeable, safe and fun!
Some divers can be snobby and dont trust local guides the local guides are creme de le creme superb instructors and dive masters they wil keep you safe listen to them.
Diving briefings are very comprehensive.
Best diving I have ever done ever in over 200+ dives.
Excellent dive equipment, safety equipment, beautiful day boat.
Dived 5 days and it was awesome.

The absolute best! I can’t say enough about how wonderful this dive operation is! First Class all the way! I’ve had both knees & both hips replaced in the last few years. Uber Divers went beyond my expectations to ensure that my wife & I had the best experience imaginable!!! Mercii, our divemaster was an absolute professional, w/ the sweetest personality you could ask for! Dove 6x in 2 days: tons of fish, colorful coral, 10-13 giant manta rays twice & 5+ sea turtles each day. We’ve dove many places in the world - do yourself a favor, if you’re diving Komodo, go w/ Uber Scuba!

We arrived in Labuan Bajo knowing we were going to spend some time diving Komodo Island. Day one we 'inspected and interviewed ' the majority of the shops on the main strip. After some underwhelming conversations we were concerned we wouldn't find any dive tours that were as enthusiastic as we were about diving. Oh how we were wrong.
Upon stepping into Uber Scuba Komodo we felt the energy and excitement with the crew. Not only were they friendly and enthusiastic, their knowledge was beyond belief. We agreed on a 5 day liveaboard and paid on the spot. It only got better from there. The crew were respectful and did an amazing job. The food was incredible and plentiful. Having dived in many locations and countries around the world, Sandra and Diego are by far the best instructors. What a power couple they are. Every dive went smoothly as planned. Their enthusiastic, knowledgeable approach catered for the most inexperience divers all the way up to the dive masters in our group. The only negative of the trip was when skip said we were nearing labuan bajo and the trip was coming to an end. When we stepped off the boat we decided we will go back. An incredible national park, with so much to see above and below water. An amazing trip amplified by a 10/10 boat with a group and crew which exceeded all expectations. Many thanks again Sandra and Diego and all the crew at Uber Scuba. We will be back to blow more bubbles 👌👌

I first went on Uber Scuba's liveaboard boat Amalia when it began operating around Komodo back in early 2017. This most recent trip was my third time on Amalia, and having dived extensively around the region for the last 15 years—including a number of other Komodo liveaboards operating out of Labuan Bajo—I can confidently say that this is one of the best.
The boat is extremely well designed from the point of view of both diving and cruising, with small but surprisingly airy cabins and an excellently laid-out dive deck. The communal areas are very comfortable, and great for sleeping outside if you prefer your nights under the stars. I think that the boat can host around ten to twelve customers, which is the perfect size to be able to get to know your fellow divers. And the food served is always delicious: way beyond what you might expect from such a tiny kitchen!
The diving programme—eleven dives over four days, on this trip—ran faultlessly, with experienced and knowledgable guides delivering thorough briefings and excellent guiding. But Uber Scuba's solid organisation is apparent before you set foot on the boat, with comprehensive and prompt communication throughout the booking process, and a smooth onboarding process once you reach their office.
Having worked in the Indonesian diving industry myself, I can see that this operation is particularly well run and would recommend it to anyone looking to dive Komodo.

First dive experience in the city of currents although my dive buddies have been diving in Komodo a few years back.
We decided to join Uber Scuba Komodo Dive Center based on very positive reviews from fellow divers. Unfortunately, due to time constraints, we only did 9 dives land base for 3 consecutive days in total.
Markus and the teams are really professional, they know what they are doing to protect the ocean and ensure divers safety while divers are still having fun and memorable diving trip. In the addition, kudos to the boat crews who are very attentive to all the guests on board.
As for choosing the dive site, Markus and the teams will decide based on the weather forecast and with a detailed briefing for each single dive site. You'll be pampered with a pristine underwater world, healthy corals, group of fishes. It's one of the most beautiful dive sites indeed.
Observed each Divemaster has a small group of divers to look after, this definitely helps each diver to enjoy the beauty of Komodo Marine Park.
We'll be back again in the future. Till next time...

Diving is a totally new expirience for me and I was nervous if I cold manage to get The certificate.
Uber Scuba is very well organised team with a friendly atmosphere. The team adapt to very well to the different levels of skills of the divers.
My instructor was Paul. Very competent, metodical and calm person. Uber Scuba was giving us all a variety of the mist intdresting and fascination diving places in Komodo.
We saw Mantas, Turtels, Sea mammas etc.
The straff on The boat was vey helpful and there were always there for assisting us.
I can strongly recommend Uber Scuba Dive center.

I spent 7 days 6 nights liveboard trip with Uber Scuba . There are so many choices of dive company and liveaboard to Komodo National park ,the level of luxury , budget and Moderate , I was attracted to the color of Amania's "Tiffany blue" color and its decoration inside the boat while I was surfing the website of Uber Scuba , this is the initial and simple reason why I choice Uber Scuba .
On the first day when I step into this boat , I can feel the owners build this boat with their whole loves , from the floor , furniture , cabin , dinning room to the diving deck etc.. , even each single corner all looks perfect , they make the boat like a home not for operating business .
All the crews are gentle and always trying to do their best to serve .
Food is amazing , the 3 meals are not buffet , each meal coming with good presentation and yummy tastes .
I love diving , but I prefer the food and accommodation , all the dive companies are going to Komodo so their diving service may not be too much difference with other dive shop , but I think the belief of the owner for operation their business is the only one thing make them to be unique . Uber Scuba make me feel even they are a small (or middle ) company but they run the business with their 200% enthusiasm .
Everyone who have been diving in Komodo will know here is the one of the best dive site in the world , so do I . However , a home-like liveaboard impress me and I am expecting to come back soon .

科莫多的船宿公司和潛水公司實在太多, 從高價到低價 , 從奢華的船到睡在甲板上經濟型的船 , 品質參差不齊.
Uber Scuba 的船屬於中型船 價格也是中間價位 , 但是船上的舒適度和餐飲真的很棒，尤其是潛導的專業度跟細心，在科莫多這個有千變萬化水流的地方，一個好潛導是最重要的．
我參加的是７天６夜到中部和北部的潛水點 , 科莫多水下景色當然是不用多說的 世界數一數二 , 但是一個好的潛水船可以讓我感覺每次潛完 回船上 ,就像回家一樣舒服的 目前我只遇到這一艘．
真的很推薦給國人．

No, and this is possibly the single biggest drawback to diving with Uber Scuba. There are many sites where more bottom time is needed, especially with 3 consecutive dives with only 1 to 1.5 hour surface intervals. You really have to watch your no deco limits and hope others in your group do, too. Otherwise you have to wait, clinging to a rock in strong current, while others do a 10-15 minute deco stop.

Whilst we focus our daily trips on scuba, our Liveaboard of 3 nights does cater for snorkelers if traveling within a group (or as a non-diver accompaniment if in a couple or with a friend). Please send an email to us - address can be found on our website - and we can send more information to you.

Is Uber a dive company more for younger people, or is it more a for 'older' divers? The photos seem to show mainly a younger crowd.

Age of divers doesn’t really matter. Skill level and appropriate pairing is what really matters. Our group was all ages.

January is a brilliant time and you should get some fabulous manta ray interactions. It is with my deepest regret to inform you that we do have a policy of a minimum age of 8 years on our boats under the terms of our liability insurance. I am sincerely sorry to inform you of this. Might I suggest you speak to the lovely people at Scuba Junkies Resort, Flores Pirate Camp or Komodo Resort as resort based diving could be a great option for you and your family, ensuring both you and your husband get the most out of your stay whilst taking turns to look after your dear baby son. I know Komodo Resort and Flores Pirates Camp offer speedboat dives in the morning and afternoon - perhaps you could join the morning boat, meet for lunch, and your husband join the afternoon boat? Have the most wonderful experience.

Hi, we are two certified divers and would like to do a couple of fun dives in Komodo. We are arriving Labuan Bajo 26/6 and have acailable only that night or the next morning, and have to meet our tour in Komodo next afternoon. Can you arrange something?

thank you very much for contacting us and for your interest in diving with us.
All our tours start at 7am and we come back around 5/5.30 pm for 3 dives per day. You could manage to join us on the 27th for 3 daily dives and trying to catch your tour. after 5.30 pm. We Cannot do 2 dives and come back earlier to the harbour. If you need more info email us through our webpage.

This question is for the Dive Centre: We are coming to Flores (13th - 17th July 2018). We are a family of 5 two of our teenage children have their PADI Open water diving and the rest of us would snorkel - is there a trip at this time we could join and what would be the cost per person?

Hi Julia, thanks so much for your question! I see 'wales' in your TripAdvisor handle - are you a fellow Welshy? We would be delighted to welcome your family, though I must always say that we are a scuba diving focused outlet, often the sites we go to are not shallow coral reefs so a little disadvantageous to snorkelers - we feel it's important that we tell you this in advance. Snorkelers are however welcome on board, though we do always recommend choosing to snorkel with a local operator as to not create too much competition. Why not email us directly - I sadly am unable to publish our contact details here due to TripAdvisors policy, so if you do a quick google search for us and find our website, our contact details are there. Mention in your email that you spoke to Clare over TripAdvisor questions too to give the office chicks a reference point. I hope we can help you to enjoy your time in Komodo. Diolch yn Fawr x
