About Blue Marlin Dive Komodo
Blue Marlin Dive is part of Indonesia's renowned Blue Marlin Dive, now with over 25 years experience and 5 different locations within Indonesia. Although their resort just opened in 2013, they have over 10 years experience diving Komodo via their liveaboard, Ikan Biru. Their full service 5* PADI IDC Dive Resort features Labuan Bajo's only purpose-built diver training pool, restaurant and accommodation options. Daily dives take place on a 100HP traditional outrigger boat, geared towards courses and beginners, and a 600 HP fibreglass advanced only speedboat, the fastest boat in Labuan Bajo allowing them to dive parts of the park unreachable by other dive shops. PADI courses are taught on a daily basis with courses ranging from beginner to professional development. The also have multiple liveaboards catering to flexible schedules, more upscale fixed itineraries and chartered boats. A proud member of Dive Operators Community Komodo.

It was great diving with them. The guide was very knowledgable. They even lent me free snorkel equipment the next day!

I joined the day trip to Padar island, Manta point, pink beach, Rincar island and it was one of best days ever I also did another snorkeling tour on the dive boat, both tours were very professionally managed and great value, I'd highly recommend going with Blue Marlin Also they serve great food in the cafe and have great views over the harbour

We stayed and dove with Blue Marlin for 2 days/nights en route to Raja Ampat and will definitely be back for a longer visit! The room was very comfortable, the pool was lovely (although the smell from the street was hard to miss), the restaurant was good and the sunset views were incredible! After some unexpected flight delays we only got to do two dives, both of which were great, and an afternoon visit to see the dragons, which was one of the highlights of our trip. Great service and responsiveness from the staff before we arrived, really appreciate their flexibility when we got in in much later than planned!

I was hesitant on the get go, as a pal and I who went on this trip together were twiddling our thumbs and waiting as the boarding of the boat was delayed for a couple of hours. Our worries were unfounded however, as once we boarded (albeit a little grumpily), both the dive crew and the boat crew were integral in making our trip a hugely enjoyable experience. The diving was spectacular as was the service standards of both crews. A shout out to our guide Jason who went above and beyond his scope of duties, patient and tolerant of our often demanding requests, the safety-conscious and precise dive briefings of Ben, and the empathetic Ms Nina, a DMT on board who took good care of my pal when she was feeling a little under the weather. You guys made the trip. Cons: - Food could have been a little more varied, more snacks and beverages would be nice. - Sleeping on the top deck can be suffocatingly hot, a fan for those breezeless nights maybe
