A really lovely spot, and fun place to take a dip and enjoy the waterfall.
You have to swim to see the waterfall properly, so you should be prepared for a dip. You don't have to jump on from the rocks, but that is part of the experience if you do. But if you prefer you can clamber down the rocks to the water. Then you swim through the gap, right under the waterfall.

We organised a tour, so that covered transport and the local guide and fees. It wasn't too busy when we were there, just a few other tourists. It's a bit of a steep descent to the falls, although there are steps. But worth the trouble if you like swimming in wild places

It's an hour's drive to get there, it takes about 15-20 minutes to get in from the ticket office to the waterfall, and once there you see a lot of foreigners changing gear and getting ready to dive. Jumping from the highest pool is about 6-8 metres high and the lowest about 1 metre high (I only dare jump from more than 1 metre). The pool is clear, it is fresh water, the deepest depth is 4 meters, the deepest is the waterfall, it is recommended that people with bad water do not go in through the waterfall, the water falling high on the body hurts very much, need to go through the underwater dove, otherwise will be affected by the thrust of the water, there is no feature after crossing the waterfall, underwater stones are more slippery and prone to injury. It's kind of a unique tourist route in Komodo.

We visited when it was torrential rain so not blue water for swimming in. However, it was a great adventure and the waterfall in full spate was something else! Our guide was lovely too. There are a lot of steps to encounter if you are challenged with fitness or mobility.

Wonderful place to cool off and swim. Easy walk down and back, a bit steep but had the hand of the obligatory guide as well as my ojek driver. The bridge to cross was a reminder of Nepal, bit rickety. Coffee/noodle stall at the falls. Need a safe ride, call Alfian on whatsapp 62 8133 759 0103

We arrived to Warsove village by a motorbike. When we reached the village near the waterfall, we were asked to pay an entrance fee at the ticketing office (small building on the right hand side). We paid 210.000 IDR (for two foreigners) . The amount was high and suspicous to us. According to the ticketing office employee the price includes a local guide, who you have to follow to get to Cunca Wulang Waterfall. Path to the waterfall is so easy that you don’t need any guide. After 1 min of walk our guide told us that he has to go back because he forgot to take a key from his motorbike. He came back and walked with us to the waterfall. He was very nice all the time, offering to to take photos of us. After visiting the waterfall, when we came back to the motorbike I noticed we had a flat tire. Our guide told us that he can take our motorbike to a mechanic and be back within 1 hour (we couldn't take his motorbike and go with him). After 15-20 min he was back and told us: BIG DAMAGE! and showed a tube with 20 cm hole! We thought it was impossible, because when we left our motorbike everything was ok. His price for the new tube was 350.000 IDR!!! It was a shock for us and we started to argue that it is too much. He explained that it is because the tube is from Ruteng city etc. We wanted to go with him to the mechanic to discuss the price in person but suddenly it turned out that our guide's scooter did not want to start. All we had to do is to pay him 350.000 IDR so we paid and we drove away. After 10 min ride we stopped and asked local people what is the price for replacing a tube and they told us about 50.000 IDR and that we got cheated. We decided to go back to the village and find our guide (we had his photo) and confirm the price for replacing a tube (not showing them how much we paid). The people said 60.000 IDR. One guy drove with us to our guide's home. He was very suprised that we showed up. We started a discussion that he had lied to us with the price. After 15 min of arguing he said the price in the village is 100.000 IDR. After another 10 min when we were fed up with this situation we told him that we want our 250.000 IDR back. He said: not 250.000 IDR but 200.000 IDR because 50.000 IDR is for his service!!! Another 10 min discussion… it was getting dark so we took our 200.000 IDR and went away as fast as we could...being so much dissapointed. We told the story at our rental place. The owner took the broken tube and said: IT’S NOT MINE, YOU HAVE BEEN CHEATED! That means, that our “guide” made sabotage on our motorbike and stole our money. Below I attach a photo of this man as a warning to use services of this person.

We set out on this day-trip despite some reservations based on reviews here. It sounded possibly sketchy to do with our three kids, ages 13, 10, and 8, but all in all went really well. We hired a car through our guesthouse for Rp 800,000 and it took us about an hour's drive to get to the turn-off with the sign that says "Cunca Wulang, 8 km). The drive was pretty, curvy, and a good chance to see more of Flores than just Labuanbajo. Once at the turn-off there were locals there from whom we rented motorbikes for Rp 30,000 each, including the driver (thank goodness they drove us - we never would have made it along that road driving ourselves). The road is as gutted as all the reviews say and we had to get off the bikes at the worst parts and walk about five times. After about a fifteen minute motorbike ride we arrived at the tourism office and paid Rp 10,000 each to get in as well as Rp 50,00 for a guide. I know that other reviewers say you don't have to pay an entrance fee, but it was quite official looking with an entrance log and workers in "Cunca Wulang" tshirts, and because it is a needed source of revenue for this village we didn't mind paying a small fee. We started our hike which first winds through the local village, where friendly villagers invited us into their yards to watch them drying and grinding coffee beans and boiling what they called red sugar. Then it was the descent into the jungle and hike to the falls, which took about 45 minutes. The canyon itself is pretty and we enjoyed jumping into the water (only jump where the guide says - there are hidden rocks) and swimming up to the falls themselves. The water was browner than in the other reviewers' photos and had some debris and bugs in it, so we had to get over the "yuck" factor a little. We had thought there would be places to slide on natural rock formations from things we had read, but that was not the case. Our guide encouraged us to hike up to the top of the falls to see the view from above, which was really steep, muddy, and perilous (felt too unsafe for this mom, although the kids managed fine). The guide was good to take our hand to help us along when needed. It started pouring down rain on our hike back out, but it wasn't a problem since we were already drenched from swimming. We hired the same bikes/drivers for another Rp 30,000 each to take us out to the main road where our car was waiting for us. All in all we really enjoyed the adventure of this day and recommend it.

We wanted to see the waterfall without a guide. So we only wanted to pay the government fee of 20.000 IDR. But the locals didn't want to let us through. They wanted us to pay the government fee and the guide for 150.000 IDR. But for that waterfall you don't need a guide. And they became very rude and angry when we told them that we don't want to have a guide. It is a complete rip off from tourists again!!! They are just sitting there gambling and smoking all day and waiting for tourists to make easy money!
We decided to leave and don't see "their" waterfall.

You do need to be fit. A lovely bumpy 2 hour drive up through gorgeous country, then they call a 2 km walk ( felt longer as it was straight down the hills) then walk through rice paddies where people are working with water buffalo. Waterfall huge, pristine and just beautiful. Pay 5000 to the old betelnut chewing woman whose land you walk through. On walk back up my normally healthy son was sick and weak, local guide very worried, so took us into her home and fed us, gave us coffee and boiled water while we sheltered from torrential downpour, I gave her a large tip as thanks for her families generosity. A wonderful day.

We drove all the way and when got there we were told the only way is to pay more than 100.000 each to have a guide. They oblige you to get one even if it's just a mafia and it's not true that you must go with one. Don't go. They're exploiting the nature resources and claiming it's their village. This is how they ruin Indonesia.

At the entrance, they will ask you 20 000 rupiahs for the entrance fee, plus 110 000 for the guide. You don't need it. There is a concrete pathway leading to the river. Then a small path that brings you to the waterfall. You can't get loss.

Everyone will ask you "where is your guide, it's dangerous, you need one". If you jump from the waterfall maybe it's dangerous as you don't know exactly where to jump, but if you are like me and don't want to jump, you don't need one.
I was told that the money they collect by guiding you there is for the village.
