If you get a tour which will take you here, do it. A very unique little island in the middle of the ocean! Lovely blue water and sand. This is literally a deserted island that probably disappears when the tide is in, so a great place to visit as part of tours.

Many tours in the area appear to visit this patch of sand in the middle of the ocean. The island itself is not much to write home about, but the snorkelling around it is magnificent. The shallows around the island is filled with colorful coral fish, which you can watch very closely. Further away from the island, there is a drop where we saw black tip reef sharks and turtles.
Well worth a visit...for the snorkelling.

Taka Makassar Island is a white sandy island in the ocean. It's a perfect spot to snorkeling and taking some pictures on the island

When we went, the currents were fairly strong but if you're a good swimmer AND wear a life jacket, you can float with the current and swim a bit against it and snorkelled for more than an hour, from about a half mile away swimming toward this makassar island. Some people see huge manta rays, we didn't see any, as it's not in season; but still we saw gorgeous coral, a dozen huge sea turtles, and literally thousands of fish. Totally recommended!

One of the most beautiful places to swim in the world. The water is crystal clear is shallow and great for kids. Just beautiful. Great place to take a break after hiking in Padar island and cool down.

Not even an island, but a sand strip in the middle of the sea. Very beautiful and unusual. But there are many tourists here, everyone wants to take beautiful photos.

This is one part of Labuan Bajo"s island. Snorkling is very nice. But better visit on June, July or August, due to the weather condition

Personally i think this is just a patch of white sand, nothing to see and too much tourist around. We only stay here for 15mins.

It makes perfect Instagram photo and nothing more...

If you like walking tho, it's quite nice, as you can walk literally very far and the water remains waist deep. Just soak up the sun, stay on the beach for a while, take some instagram photos. That's probably sums the place.
