The Bintang Komodo Tours Agency was an excellent choice. We did the Komodo day tour including Padar Island, Pink Beach, Komodo Island, Taka Makassar, Kanawa island and Manta point snorkelling. The tour was super organized. The speed boat was in very good condition and had a very friendly crew. We got delicious food for lunch and the attentive crew served regularly refreshments and food. All the activities were well planned so that we often arrived as one of the first boats to have the place almost by ourselves. Particularly, pink beach, Padar island and the mantas were our highlights.
Overall, I can highly recommend booking with Bintang Komodo Tours.

This tour was the best I’ve had during my time in SE Asia. I did the one day tour of Komodo National Park, Padar Island hike, pink sand beach and some of the coolest snorkeling I’ve experienced thus far during my travels. We saw two sea turtles and every type of fish!
The only thing I will note is this begins at 5:30am and the tour does not provide breakfast. There were a few pieces of fruit provided but I was starving by lunch around noon. My hotel did not offer breakfast before 7:30am so I’d highly recommend bringing snacks and planning ahead!

It's great to hear that you had a wonderful time on the one day tour of Komodo National Park, Padar Island hike, pink sand beach and snorkeling! Seeing two sea turtles and various types of fish sounds like an amazing experience. Thank you for sharing your tip about bringing snacks and planning ahead for breakfast, as the tour starts early in the morning and the provided fruit may not be enough to keep one full until lunchtime. But I think all the hotels prepare lunch boxes the night before the tour if you ask them.

On the first day, we rent a boat for a private trip to Padar, Pink Beach, Komodo, Manta Point, and Kalong. We use private tour for more efficient route as we want to see sunset from Kalong Island. Normally, Kalong tour is only for half-day trip and would not be included in the full day trip as there are many other islands to visit.
When going to Padar for hiking, make sure to wear comfortable clothing and shoes, as you will be climbing uphill (more than 850 steps I guess). Don't wear swimsuit as it will be quite hot. On the top of Padar Island, you will be amazed by the view.
After visiting Padar, we went to Pink Beach. The sand is in unusual color as it is a result from decomposition of a certain red coral, that makes the beach so colorful.
Unfortunately, my review for Komodo is so so, because I don't expect to see a Komodo which seems to have been conditioned to stay there and meet people.
The boat crew are friendly and cheerful despite the rain that was with us for the sunset at Kalong. The captain name is Sudirman, and our tour guide is Ryan. The boat is clean although the toilet is pretty small . The name of boat is Komodo Surga Bahari
The second day, we went to Melo village to see the local Manggarai People, their tradition and cultures. The overall performance was good, except that at the end of it, they cased us to buy their sarung, scarf, etc. I use the word "case" because they were so actively offering their goods for us to buy. I think, it would be nicer to put their goods for sell on the special table or racks, so that visitors could calmly select whichever they want.
All of our trip were organized by Bintang Komodo. In fact, the owner, Pak Gregorius Dodi (+62 852 5308 0111), is helpful and experienced. I can discuss things in more detail with him, even before I arrived at Labuan Bajo.

The tour did everything I had hoped. The staff was friendly and informative. There was plenty of time at each stop.The snorkeling equipment all worked. There were 8 customers on the trip and there was adequate seating.
My only complaint was the smell of varnish and gasoline. On the return trip, the boat speed made sitting outside a chilly and wet experience. However, if you sat inside the cabin the smell of gas and varnish was very strong. The inside cabin needed much better ventilation. It made for a less than enjoyable 45 min ride back to the harbor.

Thank you for your feedback on the tour. It's great to hear that the staff was friendly and informative, and that you had plenty of time at each stop. However, it's unfortunate to hear about the smell of varnish and gasoline on the boat, as well as the lack of ventilation inside the cabin. These are definitely issues that should be addressed by the tour operators to ensure a more comfortable and pleasant experience for their customers.

We went on 4 day/3 night trip, my 13 y/o son and I. We had a blast on a traditional boat that took us all around Komodo National Park and more. This trip went far beyond
our expections and we definitely recommend it.
Our tour guide, Robertus, took great care of us and kindly shared his knowledge with us all along the way.
Captain Hamad with 20+ years experience made the trip safe and kept the trip perfectly on schedule. The crew made the boat feel like home with typical food, fresh fruit, cold water, always smiling and helpful.
From the beginning to the end, communication wise, the tour manager Doddy, was always there to answer our questions and to make sure everything went smoothly.

We had the most incredible day with Bintang tours, such lovely and brilliant guides! We did the 1 day Komodo & Manta tour with the most amazing suprise of turtles! 🐢 The day was absolutely perfect, from the weather, the ocean conditions, each stop we did way absolutely brilliant and we got to see so many gorgeous things. I would 100% come back and do this all over again ❤️

The tour was well organized. Not sure how/why, but we were the first company out of LBJ to reach each destination (if you exclude the private boat tours that spent the night there). So we would always have at least 20-30 mins with very few people around, which was a plus. The rest of the trip really just depends on animals showing up and weather collaborating. In our case we had both going for us. The reef at Taka Makasar was mind-blowing.

Great day tour, we saw 6 locations including Turtle Point were you can see so many giant turtles, plus a great snorkeling spot close to Manta Point. We could not see the mantas however it is common not not spot them every single day. Other spots: Padar Island hiking, Komodo Island (dragon), Pink Beach, Taka Makassar, Manta Point, Turtle Bay,

This trip exceeded all my expectations. It went like clockwork starting from the email list of what to bring, received the night before. Highly efficient, friendly and helpful staff. We departed early and arrived at each stop before the crowds. Despite being warned we might not see Komodo dragons, we saw 4! The snorkeling, sea turtles and manta ray were just icing on the cake. Trip of a life time!

That sounds like an amazing experience! It's always great to hear about our tours that go above and beyond expectations. It's also good to hear that our staff were friendly and efficient, and that our tour was well organized. The tour was spectacular. Pick up was on time, the guides were excellent. I couldn’t swim, but the guides were very nice and taught me to snorkel to see manta rays!! Saw about 8 Komodo dragons in the national park. The view at the top of padar island was amazing. I couldn’t thank the guides enough and I absolutely recommend this tour company.

Hi, I will be traveling to Labuan Bajo from for 3 full days in Oct. It seems like a lot of ppl go to Rinca Island and Padar Island. So here are my questions: Is it possible to visit both in one day, or should I make a trip to each on two separate days? I would like to do a two full-day tour around Komodo Island and not sure how to plan it..any advice?
