It's a good family get away. Just a hour or more drive from KL. Boat ride midst of fireflies is amazing experience. The twinkling of the flies appears like bush lit up during Christmas.. Don't forget to visit a local sea food restaurant.. Get messy n eat crabs to your heart content.. very reasonable n tasty too..

This nature park also known as Taman Alam Kuala Selangor comprises of over 200 hectares of coastal land, a large tract of which is mangrove swamp. There are three distinct habitats here which is secondary forests, muddy estuaries and mudflats and a brackish lake that is inhabited by wetland animals. Bird watching is an interesting activity here as the area... More

Again I went with my husband and he likes monkeys, and I do not, and they are everywhere. The walk is a picture in itself. Well worth the look

This is the perfect morning's activity after seeing the fireflies the evening before. You pay a small entry fee and walk round the mudflats and mangrove swamps. We saw a lot of interesting crabs and mudskippers, many kinds of birds and a lot of monkeys, very close up. If you like nature, it's lovely. If you need excitement, go somewhere... More

We have to pay (RM6) before enter the Nature Park. Most of the nature view did not maintained well even with paid fares. Watching towers not access for climb, not fixing on the road and it is gathered with a lot of monkey. A terrific place and recommended visit this place with brunch of people.

It's a little park at the edge of Selangor. You can visit the park and it's resident silver hair monkeys, Sekinchan rice paddy fields and the fire flies in the same day. Worth a day trip to get away from hustle and bustle of KL. it's about an hour drive each way. Remnants do a Dutch fort is perched on... More

The place was OK and packed. The tram ride for fun and the flora surrounding Bukit Melawati was cool and green. However, the stop at the animal area is confounding. The place looks dilapidated and the animal uncared for. The fishes were thin and the ponds were almost dry and thick with weeds and rubbish. There are turtles in there,... More

Level of difficulty: easy. Kids-friendly. RM 4 per entry. RM 2 for Malaysian Nature Society (MNS) members. Very helpful and friendly receptionists. Purchase the A4 size bird card for RM 5 for identifying common birds found. Essentials: 1L water per person, insect repellent (need frequency re-sprays), cap (the area is quite open and will get hot in the noon). Good... More
