We went with Rainbow Sky Mirror Ent Vacation team (Wendy/Vivian). Professional service offered; great trip with light refreshment and unlimited photos too - all in one price! Very responsive when we contacted them to enquire for the trip. We had great time during the trip, recommended for family with kids.

I booked tickets online in advance because the departure time is different daily depending on the tide. I chose D tours Kuala Selangor as my guide. We arrived at the office an hour before boarding time (10.30am), collected our wristbands and waited to be called to board the boat. Life jackets were given. We headed out to sea slightly early, so we had to wait for the tide to lower before able to step on mud.
Two guides were on board each boat, one went into the water to pick a nice spot for photoshoot later, water level was thigh high. Another guide stayed with us 20 plus tourists on the boat. While waiting, we were lucky, someone spotted dolphins, everyone took out their cameras and hoped to get a photo of the dolphins. The captain was amazing, he followed the dolphins so that we can admire them longer from a safe distance.
Finally, the tide was low enough, we got down and water was only ankle high. We were surrounded by sea water, no land to be seen. We followed our guides and watched them work. They had to flatten out the mud, fill salt water to make a small pool, set up the umbrellas on the ground and lay flat stomach on the wet mud hiding under the umbrellas to take those Instagram photos for everyone of us. It was not easy to get these amazing shots, they worked really hard to give us perfect sky mirror effect photos. Our reflection was clear and the photos came out amazing.
I had never thought it was done that way, I thought it was a natural sky mirror effect in the middle of the sea. Turned out it was all man-made. Anyways, we were satisfied with the service and outcome of this trip, I do recommend to check them out if you love taking photos. The trip took 3 hours, by the time we were back at jetty, it's time to have a hearty seafood lunch, seafood restaurants were everywhere left and right.

"SkyMirror" activity noted Kuala Selangor was one of a kind experience which we had never seen or done before.
We literally walked on water which was 6" deep only. It felt like that we're walking on the sea!
Later the photographers arranged the settings and took amazing jaw dropping pictures just like mirror reflections!
Everything from the booking, instructions to boat ride to water walking was done in a professional way and the boat driver was good.
This activity of Skymirror is a must if you're near by in Selangor! Not to be missed.
There were other activities too which we did, like birds watching, firefly watching, sunset and blue light water but no match with skymirror.
The blue light water was also interesting and unique that a particular area sea water emanates blue light.
The experience of watching sunset at sea was also fascinating but not unique as you can watch sunsets anywhere else!
The price is also reasonable and you can book online. You can choose which activity you want to do.
The Chinese staff at the booking was very nice & friendly.
Highly recommended!
Tip: it's better & convenient to book a hotel nearby this place so that you can easily access this place. There are plenty of guest houses nearby.

We had a tour with sky mirror, an Indian temple and the Dutch fortress and in the pricy program a lunch was included, they promised beforehand. We first visited the temple (free of charge) and the fortress (free of charge), then it was lunch time, but we had to pay (extra) for the lunch. When we arrived at the jetty for the sky mirror and the people were about to depart, the driver said we had to register, otherwise we could not depart. That was another bummer, as there was no time for that anymore. But I went to the guy who was directing the people to the boats and luckily we were on the list. The driver tried to please us with some extra excursions (that we would have to pay of course), but we had enough of everything. The sky mirror itself: be sure to get sun cream with you, to dress yourself properly against the sun as there is no shade. The making of the photos is less spectacular as it looks like but the pictures are nice. The only thing that could be better is to use a camera instead of a mobile phone.

We travelled with Fun Life tours twice in April, the trip was with our family members with young and old. The interaction started via Facebook with Mr. Eric, he was professional, friendly and very informative and reliable.
He runs this tour remotely while his dad and siblings are on the ground helping tourists by showcasing sky mirror, eagle feeding, fireflies and blue tears tour.
Eric and everyone in Fun Life are easy to deal with, super friendly, helpful in answering all of our questions and also provided additional recommendations on restaurants and accommodation.
Special shout out to Eric’s sister- Ms. Ng who is the friendly face you will see greeting you at the Fun Life private Jetty.
Our heartfelt gratitude goes out to Mr. Tan, who was our tour guide cum photographer who was passionate and took the best photos in under 60 minutes.

When I first time comes to this places, I was so amazed. At here, I was so happy that I can have this experience. When you see the photo that taken by photographer, you will feel so wonderful as they can use different angle to snap out such fantastic photo and make you feel like you are really on the sky. An unforgettable trip with my family and it was an unforgettable trip in my memories.....

The Sky Mirror was good but the tour group that took us there was very bad. It is called "Sky Mirror D Tours Kuala Selangor & NYC Tour"
NOT RECOMMENDED.
I feel like the trip was mediocre.
1) The dinner that was within our package wasn’t very good. Service was slow and bad.
2) When we went to see the fireflies, there was not a lot at all. Not as advertised.
3) When we went to see the Blue Tears, it wasn’t as advertised as well. It wasn’t as bright as we expected.
4) We booked a 8.45am trip to the Sky Mirror but the boat did not arrive till 9.35am. We should not have to wait this long.
5) Even though we had a lot of photos, the photographer only took pictures of around 10 different poses and most of them were copies. But, for other people they took more photos with more poses.
NOT SATISFIED

It was a last minute decision to join Sky Mirror tour with a local company called Fun Life since we were on a day trip to Sekinchan. This decision turned out to be the highlight of the day. Eric from Fun Life was very prompt with his replies and facilitated our trip.
The boat captain ensure that the ride to and from Sasaran Beach was not only safe but exciting. It was fascinating to behold the vast sand bar appearing gradually in front of our very eyes, in the middle of Malacca Straits. The experience was nothing short of amazing.
Our entourage of five would like to thank you, Ah Seng the photographer for his patience and creativity during the photo session and also the boat captain ( sorry, forgot his name) for ensuring that the tour was leisurely paced and enjoyable.......it made our day !😊

It took us slightly more than 3.5 hours drive from Kuala Lumpur to/fro. But it's worth the distance.
We went to the Sunflower farm, nice place for pictures, but run-down.
The Blue-tear tour was a bit disappointing. We waited for almost 2 hours before we are able to board the boat. But there was a wedding proposal which we made some fun out of it.
From marketing photos, it was so interesting, with water splashing blue luminous lights. When we were there, the tour guides scooped the water and placed on your hands for about 15 mins, not much effect.
The next morning, we left at 6.30am for sky mirror. Thinking we had to stand in the waters and the reflection will be capture. Haha... no, the photographer had to dig a small hole, lie flat on their chest and take the photos. But we had fun and the photos are amazing.

The very idea of being able to stand in the middle of the sea, level with the water, watch ocean liners pass by at close quarters gives one goosebumps.
If you are visiting Kuala Lumpur, this is something you should experience. Be prepared for an early morning departure from your KL hotel, but the experience is more than worth the inconvenience, time and money!
Finally when the photographs are on your screen, you will marvel at the wonders of nature. Let go and become creative for the photographs - the sky and the land are literally not the limits!
Use the time on this submerged island that you will end up walking to also watch the tiny creatures on the sea bed, maybe spot the odd octopus.
The boat ride to this place is also something that adds to the fun!

Hello I will be arriving to Kuala Selangor by bus. Can someone tell me how difficult it will be to get around the town? Are taxis expensive?
Written August 6, 2023
I will be travelling this way with a group of friends who all want to do the Sky Mirror Tour. But I get very seasick and am wondering if I should go or not? Is the boat ride very bumpy? Is the boat subject other effect of waves (as on the sea) or more like on a river? Since there is no getting off the boat for 30 min, I don't want to commit to something which is likely to make me sick. Anti-seasickness pills are too sedative for me and not reliable.

hi
It is a little bumpy boat ride into the straits of Melaka.
However the waves are gentle.
Please note the Motorboat is fast and of course a little turbulent as we go up and down on the sea. .

Can you do this without a tour? I am a photogragher myself.
All we need is a return boattrip

I am reading information about Sky mirror and it said only accessible 1st and 15th day of the lunar month, but when I check the tour, it seems to me they are available every day. So what information is correct ?
Written October 13, 2019
It is the 1st & 15th of the month plus 4 days before and after. The tour operators normally have their monthly schedules with daily departure times according to tides.
Written October 14, 2019
Check with the operator. It depends on tide. I picked the day when the tour starts at 10am. There are days when it starts at 6am

Sorry for the late respond. I was lucky to find a good tour company run by father and daughter. The name of the company is Sky Mirror Enterprise. Call Vivian Teoh at 016-267-0628. The lady speaks english, Mandarin and Cantonese.

Estimated 3 to 4 hours which depend on weather(included the speed boat transfer). For example: if u take the morning session like 8.30am, then gather at Jetty around 8.15am, start departing to destination 8. 30am++. 9am arrived destination then enjoy your moment there (photo taking session). 10.30am or 11am then back to jetty and Home. For my case, it raining heavily over there, we wait inside the boat until 10.30am then only start our photo taking session. 12pm only back jetty and home.

Better dont go on moonsoon time especially december bcoz it will be windy and u will get seasick.

Early morning no Grab Services, The best book before hand but still can book when you reach there. Also depends on the tide, Morning or afternoon. There is a Taxi service from Kuala Selangor to KL or there are buses to KL Pudu.
Approximately time bus 2 hrs , car 1.5 hrs.

*Likely to sell out: Based on Viator’s booking data and information from the provider from the past 30 days, it seems likely this experience will sell out through Viator, a Tripadvisor company.
