It's a lovely small town, up on the hill with great views of the Adriatic sea. The old town is cute and makes you feel like medieval times. There's not much to do over there though, not a big city center either hot spots. It's deff a place to chill and relax.
They have a great restaurant, good price and delicious homemade pasta (one of the best I've had in the whole Italy). For the party ppl that's not the place, they only have one bar, that closes around 2am and don't open during winter.
You can't rely much on public transportation since the bus stops around 8pm and it doesn't work on Sundays. Walking is pretty adventurous, you'd take hours to go all the way down until the next bus stop. So if you plan to go there the better way is by car. However, just like most of the Italian roads, you have to be a very good driver to go up there, the road offers lots of curves while going up on the narrow roads (which barely fits one car).
If you go on the first days of September you'll be able to see a medieval festival, where they dress like knights and medieval costumes, have a parade and a fanfare challenge between the "Houses/Crest" from the town. The whole town is divided into 5 (or 6, don't remember) Houses. It's a beautiful, exciting, historic and interesting event to see. During this festival, that lasts over a week, they also have a game competition (similar to basket, but they have dig the ball into a well, the game has a whole history around it as well. Super recommend it!

We went looking for food but arrived too late and to early for other things. It is a quiet pleasant little town that is worth a visit if you are in the area. Visit the tower in particular. They town also boasts 6 churches.

We had a relaxing walk along the lane ways and piazza of this little hilltop town. In the Marche it is quite common to say hilltop town, but every one is quite different to the other.
We especially noticed the size of the tower being very large. There are also a few boutiques and cafes making the town quite alive. It is easy to park just outside the town gate. Had lovely meals here too.
The town is only 15 minutes of scenic drive from the autostrada exit.

Sant'Elpidio a Mare has the characteristics of the typical Marche town located on the hills. It is entirely built in brick and has numerous alleys that give it a medieval style conformation. In addition, part of the town is located above walls, another common feature with other cities in the Marche. The historic center is embellished with several churches, an elegant town hall and an ancient tower, which can be visited upon purchase of a ticket. In conclusion Sant'Elpidio a Mare surprised me and Recommendation to visit it because it is a pretty and welcoming country.
