What a great experience! We did the promotion 50 years in two and it was amazing! Great food and wine combined inside a wonderful location!

I stayed at the ACP for three days. The ambiance of the late medieval villa, the beauty of the nature of the Po plane, and the rigorous care in every detail of the food served makes this spot a must.
This time I only ate at the Hosteria del Maiale. I honestly prefer the more casareccia-styled Italian cuisine based on few but exquisite ingredients. And the Spigaroli family seem to produce most at the family farms in and around Polesine. The faboulus lambrusco (gusto della Nonna) and the award winning culatello can be highly recommended!

If you’re just interested in visiting the Museo del Culatello and doing a Degustatione it’s not worth wasting your time.

The museo is a couple of cellar rooms with some old butcher tools, some info tables and a lot of dust and spiderwebs. There was one small and dark niche where maybe 20 of the Culatelli could be seen hanging from a ceiling. All took maybe 15 mins to see.

In the Degustatione you only get to taste their Culatello from their white pigs. It’s not possible to taste or buy Culatello from their black pigs (which was the reason we went their) unless you have a dinner in their Michelin Star Restaurant.

In general the whole experience was odd. We arrived and had to search for 5 minutes for someone to find out if it’s possible to visit the Museo. After that we had to search again for someone to pass back the audio guides and that eventually offered the Degustatione. When we wanted to leave we had again to search for somebody as we wanted to make sure we didn’t leave without paying for anything. We then found that the Museo is 7€ each and the Degustatione is 5€ per person.

We don’t mind paying for a nice experience but frankly especially the 7€ for the Museo is a joke given how unattended it was. The 5€ for the Culatello was ok, taste was decent and it was a fair number of slices but as it was „just“ from the white pigs it was nothing special - you can get nice Culatello everywhere around Parma without having to drive. In a tasting I would expect different ages of Culatello and as they are famous for it, also at least a slice from the black pig.

Overall it looks like they focus on hotel and restaurant and guided events but in that case they should just say so and close the Museo to the public. The restaurant and the hotel might be nice but we will never find out. The fact that we spent most of the time there with searching for the staff and the whole place didn’t seem to be taken care of very well, wouldn’t encourage us to spend more time there or come back.

Combined with local farm of this restaurant, Parmegiano-Regiano cheese factory and local winery, this was an enjoyable and educational experience.

I had the chance to stay recently at Antica corte with my colleagues for a teambuilding session. The location was cool and quiet enough to give a good opportunity to stay together and think about ourselves as individuals and as a team but the wonderful food served at launch was the best ingredient! Congratulations to Spigaroli family

Friends urged us to stay at Antica Corte Pallavicina after they had marvelous visits. We eagerly anticipated our stay, but we were disappointed. When we checked in, the gentleman in the office showed us to our room and helped with our bags--a good start. No mention of breakfast location or hours, or anything else. We decided to relax in the courtyard and, following another couple's example, we flagged down the same gentleman and asked for two beers and some snacks. Each time we wanted anything over our three day stay, we had to chase someone down.
Not to mention the flies in our room. Yes, it's a farm, but these flies were not coming in through a window. A different office staffer offered to treat with organic spray while we were out to dinner, which helped.
