About
Working alpaca farm in Prince Edward County, ONtario Canada. While it is NOT a petting zoo and visitors cannot interact with the alpaca, they roam in this natural setting from pasture to paddocks, allowing guests to see these delightful, quirky animals up close. A converted chicken coop on the property serves as a shop showcasing yarns and other alpaca products produced locally and from international designers & fair trade farms

Visited the enchanting boutique at SHED Chetwyn Farms. A full range of high quality products made from soft Alpaca wool - you must visit and purchase gifts for yourself, friends and family! The dress socks, sweaters, throws and wraps are absolutely gorgeous!

Stopped by here to marvel at the alpacas.
They have a lot of alpaca related souvenirs or shopping items to buy. Most of the things are expensive.
If you are a fan of alpacas - definitely worth stopping by.
The alpacas were cute.

Ted has expanded his sales building .. what was his pergola is now beautifully enclosed to allow a larger shopping experience for a larger volume of customers. you can call/email ahead to see if he has what you are looking for if you are a regular (or order online).. or just come on in and check out the variety of alpaca products and many other non-alpaca which you'll love for yourself or gifts for family and friends

OR .. just have a chat with Ted .. probably the friendliest retailer in the county,, which says alot as they are all quite friendly.

the cats are also quite friendly and very cute...

The farm named Chetwyn Farms (Welsh for “little cottage on twisted road”) has been in existence for over ten years in 54 acre farm in Closson Road in Prince Edward Island and this is the first time we visited. This is not a petting farm. You can get a glimpse of the alpacas from afar. The grazing area is fenced off . They also have a small boutique shop which nice items made from Alpaca wool. Worth a visit and its Free.

We cruised by having been here before and my partner fell in love with the alpacas. Things were pretty quiet and not much to see or learn. The shop is lovely though very dear prices.

The Shed, an Alpaca farm, also operates a wonderful retail outlet that has some of its own output but also fantastic Alpaca wool products from a variety of artisans and other sources. Ted, the amiable proprietor, is happy to tell you the story of these relatives of the Camel and Llama who are only sheered once a year. But is their wool ever warm, warmer than sheep. I bought socks and and gloves for my daughter. Premium prices but worth it, given the hand work involved. The Shed is near Closson Chase winery so easy to make part of a tasting tour, or an outing with the kids, as it’s also near the Lavender farm. It was our first time even though we are County regulars, based on a recommendation from Chris Pengally. It was such fun and worth a trip. This is the first review as there was no TripAdvisor listing. Now there is.

The alpacas are cute and inquisitive, sometimes they each have different "haircuts" after being shorn. Very nice alpaca fiber socks, sweaters, and other products. Worth visiting.
