With over 200 well loved animals, this collection formerly resided at Alma Park Zoo. When that facility closed, the new owner and keepers worked tirelessly to move an entire zoo to the Sunshine Coast. Located at the iconic Big Pineapple, just off...more

What a great place! Such a relaxed place. The animals are active and its very interactive. We feed some wallabies that had their babies in their pouch! Loved the monkeys and koalas and toy can pay more to meet them! Lots of animals too feed.....More
We loved it! The staff are really friendly and helpful, we got close up to animals, lots of places to sit and eat out relax, shaded areas everywhere, water park for kids, train service. We paid another $25 to hold a koala and take a...More
We took our daughter, son-in-law and three grandkids to Wildlife HQ/Queensland Zoo today, wow what a great place. We have all done Australia Zoo several times but we have wanted to go to Wildlife HQ for a while now. My opinion and the kids reactions...More
I haven’t visited the zoo since my kids were small & (to be honest) wasn’t expecting much. My granddaughter is 2 & 1/2 & had so much fun seeing the animals & making their sounds, lol 😂 so cute. I must admit this zoo was...More

From the road, wildlife HQ looks rather uninviting, however once you make it through the first farm section there is a lot to offer. The varied animal experiences from meer cats to monkeys, koalas and dingos is sure to leave you satisfied - all at...More
I took a group of Japanese tourists and they have all said it was the best day they had in Australia. I've been to this zoo many times and am annoyed to see misinformation on this page regarding access to the zoo. It is NOT...More
The little ones love animals, & we all love to see them too. Plus they need to burn off some energy. We walk & watch, we interact & learn. The animals look to be in good condition & the few that we had a conscious...More
The zoo is quite pleasant to look around, however, I found that a couple of caged exhibits didn't have signs advising what species the animals actually were. In addition I felt that the perspex panels where the Tasmanian devils are housed are shoddy and need...More
Ventured into the Zoo with relatively low expectations for a morning of showing our Japanese exchange student some native wildlife. It is much bigger than I anticipated and the quality and range of exhibits was great. Thanks for a great morning!

You will definitely have plenty of time to visit the zoo in a day. I had 4 kids with me who lingered at their favourite animals and we needed up going over our time because we loved the walk in enclosure where all the kangaroos were that you could feed along with the farm animals. 3-4 hrs is more than sufficient and that included us eating lunch there. I would guarantee purchasing the zoo entry ticket along with the pineapple train ticket so you can get a tour around the pineapple plantation and hitch a ride to the entry and back to the exit. If you get the train - you should park by the big pineapple and not the zoo entry.
