Mesmerising, breath-taking, amazing, awesome - just some of the words our visitors use when they talk about RSPB Bempton Cliffs. Around a quarter-of-a-million seabirds - including gannets, puffins, kittiwakes and razorbills - flock here in spring and summer to raise their family. Six, cliff top viewpoints give spectacular views of the nesting seabirds and the dramatic coastline. The new seabird centre at the heart of the reserve tells the story of the wildlife on the cliffs and why it makes it home here.

In autumn and winter, when mists fall and winds blow, a clifftop walk can be a truly experience.

RSPB Bempton Cliffs - one of the truly unmissable British wildlife spectacles.

I loved my trip to Bempton Cliffs, which was recommended to me by the B&B I was staying at. The visitor centre is incredible! Great interpretation, shop and cafe. The view from the cliffs are incredible and the RSPB staff were so knowledgeable. As a bonus, a choir happened to be performing on the reserve while I was there!

A great place to see our best seabirds. Thousands of birds nesting on the cliffs including Gannets, Kittiwakes , Guillemots and Puffins. You are closed to nesting birds, it is noisy and you see them at close quarters. Great for kids to get them interested in nature.Helpful staff, great for birdwatchers of all abilities. We went twice over two days-a... More

If you're interested in wildlife and love being at the coast this is a great place to spend a few hours. Ideal for families (probably best for children aged 5+) and pushchair friendly. There is a small cafe but we took a picnic, there's plenty of seating available overlooking the coast. Ample parking with a large amount disabled bays. Staff... More

Great viewpoints and paths. Good shop but small. Small tea shop and ability to eat outside on picnic tables. Great half day out.

We were a little bit late to see large numbers of puffins but there was plenty of other bird life around to feast the eyes, particularly the gannets from the Staple Newk viewpoint. The RSPB volunteers were very friendly and helpful.

Something for all the family to enjoy, and of course a lot to learn for young and older minds. A must is a camera.

Visited here during a stay in Yorkshire and this was a definite highlight - the sea birds were nesting, making an amazing spectacle of thousands of birds circling in an around the cliffs. The walks along the cliffs are stunning and we got to see puffins and gannets - we stayed he whole day and had a fantastic time including... More

We visited the cliffs from the sea on the RSPB glorious Gannett cruise on the Yorkshire Belle from Bridlington. It was a really well organised trip, lots of RSPB volunteers on hand to ID birds if you're not sure. They throw mackerel in to attract the birds and get close enough to the cliffs to see the birds closely (but... More
