Maroubra beach has everything you need for a wonderful day out, safety at the foremost the beach has lifeguards on patrol, safe bathing areas are marked as is sections for surfboards and bodyboards. This is a clean beach with all the facilities you need including buffet bar and a restaurant. Very impressive place

A beautiful place to chill out. I often walk to the cliff tops which is secluded and watch the sea. Great place for spotting whales. Ideal place if one is after peace and quiet.
Good place to surf and the beach front has many cafes and restaurants.
The weekends are rather busy.

Beach with a lovely picnic area. Spent the day here with the family and it was amazing. We enjoyed the take away fish and chips. There’s a nice walk way along the beach side. Worth the visit.

We live nearby and go here often. It's clean and the waves are very popular with surfers. There's a rock pool at one end which is great for kids. Be careful, though. This beach is known for dangerous currents and rips. We hear the rescue helicopter searching for drowned swimmers every other week. Swim between the flags where the lifeguards can see you.

Don't come to Maroubra...!
Go to Bondi, Coogee or Tamarama, those beaches are alway so quiet and have so much more parking. You will have a much better experience going to any other beach than Maroubra. Don't waste your time coming to Maroubra, you couldn't possibly have a wonderful experience. Maroubra is so tiny with hardly any room on the sand. Maybe drive to Cronulla.

Absolutely beautiful for Winter walks, Summer swimming and year-round enjoyment. Great Cafes, Pubs and even Clubs. At the far end there is a very safe place for kids to swim. Great place for everyone and never croweded. Plenty of parking too.

The beach was huge and had plenty of space for everyone. It was lacking trees & picnic tables, and the washing facilities left a lot to be desired, but the lifeguards provided a reassuring presence, and its a great open beach.

Maroubra is the biggest beach in the eastern suburbs and is pretty easy to park at and easy to find good spots on the sand. The swimming is often good, with good waves above fairly shallow water. Just stay away from the surfers. Unfortunately, the facilities were poor at both the north and south ends - filthy change rooms and outside showers that weren't working.

A brilliant bush walk with expansive ocean views… fantastic pathways - that cuts through the Australian Faina . Looking out for whales.

I would like to report an error in my last review. It should have been attributed to the location of Beauty Point, Tasmania.
