Wish I could have had the chance to fish the area. Totally unsatisfied with Doug's follow up and answers. He seemed to purposefully put me off. I have about 30 Emails and Phone calls to back this. Situation was in 2014 my father was put into hospice at the time we planned to visit Rogers and do some Tuna fishing.... More

I too wish that you could have had a chance to fish our area. Normally, on such a short notice of a cancellation, your payment for your trip would have been non-refundable. However, because of your Dad having to go into a hospice on short notice, we offered you the opportunity to change your dates from 2014 to 2015. You... More

While we stayed in Tahsis our new boat need service due to an overheating problem. We met this guy at the government dock and he introduced himself as James from Tahsis Marine Center and his service manager Dave, they had us back on the water that same day and our boat was well taken care of . . . even... Thank you for taking the time to write about our new Marine Center in Tahsis. We were pleased with the response that we have gotten from the local Tahsis community and we were lucky to find 2 certified mechanics to manage the shop. I was pleased to hear that James and Dave were able to solve your engine over heating... More

This was my 8th year going out to Rodgers Fishing Lodge. I can't say enough good things about the overall experience and outstanding service. The fishing is second to none, accommodations are very comfortable and close to the fishing grounds, the food is amazing and the staff are very friendly. I am already planning for my trip for the 2016... More

We have had rave reviews this season about the wonderful job that our chef Neil Dias and his assistant Derek did for us. All of our staff worked very hard to give our guests a memorable fishing experience. We try to keep our prices at a level where everybody feels that they are getting excellent value for their dollar. We... More

Having fished in multiple spots in British Columbia, Cental Canada, and Alaska I and three friends decided to try Rodgers Fishing Lodge which is located in the first cove in from the Pacific. Having fished several times in the Esperanza area, I wasn't really prepared for the extra-excellent trip that we had. The extra time available to fish, rather than... More

The fact that our Lodge is located right on the fishing grounds does make a huge difference in the amount of quality time each day that is solely devoted to fishing. Our wonderful location can eliminate up to about 3 hours a day of unproductive travel time. If you have any questions or would like more information the easiest way... More

Great fishing within reasonable distance from lodge. Hali, chinook, coho, ling cod snapper, etc. Good food and accom. The stay at Rodgers is a great value. We have been going for 7 years now and are going back next year. We usually see lots of wildlife. Whales, sea lions, seals, bears, eagles, etc. I would suggest that they change the... More

Guests are always amazed at the variety of marine life that they will see in the waters surrounding our Lodge. We have a very healthy eco system that supports many types of marine life and wildlife. We even have a couple of wolf packs in our area which is really rare for the West Coast of Vancouver Island. Guests can... More

I have been to several different lodges on the coastal waters of British Columbia. Rodgers is certainly my favorite. Some of the others are more fancy than Rodgers but I think that is why I like it the best. From the time you arrive at the pick up point until you are dropped off everything is great. This year I... I have always said that we are only as strong as our weakest guide. Ideally you like to have a crew of professional guides that are all of equal ability. So that any one of our guests can fish with any one of our guides and have an excellent fishing experience. Every year we always have a few guides that... More

My wife and I again this year fished at Rodger’s, it continues to be a highlight in our yearly world travels. We have already made our reservation to return next year. This year the fishing was as good as ever, we brought back over 160 lbs. of salmon, halibut, yellow eye and ling fillets. We fished about 25 hours to... More

Thank you for writing such a great review. I hope that a lot of prospective customers read it and decide to give Rodgers a try in 2016.. We get a lot of guests each season that have fished in Alaska. Many tell us that the fishing regulations have become so restrictive and complicated that it just isn't worth it anymore... More

After having experienced all that Rodgers Fishing Lodge has to offer I felt compelled to write a review. It is really amazing what a terrific fishery that we have that is so remote but still close enough to get to by car. We were very lucky to find the wonderful location that we now have as it took several years of dealing with all the various 14 government agencies to eventually secure a 30 year water lease. Most... It is really wonderful that you were able to bring your Dad and your 2 sons to do some fishing with us. It would be very nice to see more younger people take more of an interest in the outdoors. While Rodgers is not a high end fishing lodge, it provides clean rooms, excellent meals and very helpful staff - all for a very reasonable price. Our group was at Rodgers for 3 nights on a Bring Your Own Boat package. We very much enjoyed the experience - and we caught our limits for salmon!
