Over the past several years my son and I have become regular guests at Rodgers Fishing Lodge. Rodgers offers easy access to an outstanding ocean fishery where Chinook and Coho salmon, halibut, lingcod, and several species of bottom fish are abundant. In addition, there are the protected waters of Esperanza Inlet to explore and fish on those days that the... More

Our fisherman club in Washington State booked a trip to Rodgers Lodge almost a year in advance, i couldn't have imagined the experience my friend and i would have on this trip of a lifetime fishing expedition to Rodgers Lodge. Catching a 20 lb wild King Salmon was not on my bucket list until we hooked the first one. Mike... More

Glad that you enjoyed your stay with us. This is the first season that we have had a full time night baker and Mike did a good job for us. We are already looking forward to having you do some fishing with us again in 2017. More

Doug and Staff was very friendly and helpful. The chow was good but really wished they would have served/prepared fish, shrimp or seafood dishes. There is so much seafood there, why not?

We would love to serve more seafood. Unfortunately, the Department of Fisheries does not allow us or any other fishing lodge, to serve our guests sport caught salmon, halibut, ling cod or other types of seafood like shrimp, prawns, clams or oysters etc. . This means that in order for us to serve our guests any type of seafood we... More

I have been going to Rodger's Fishing Lodge for over 10 years and every year it is a highlight on my calendar. There are several things that make Rodger's special. First of all, you are on a floating lodge and wildlife abounds. Every year we see eagles, otters, seals, and whales. This last year we had two whales breaching 25... More

We have enjoyed seeing you and your crew for the last 10 years and I hope that we will be seeing you again for the next 10 years. We have a very healthy Eco system in our area and the remoteness of our location certainly helps in that regard. Looking forward to seeing you and your crew again in 2017. More

First of all, I need to say that I fish a lot and have guided for salmon and bottom dwellers in SE Alaska and the Kenai Peninsula and live and fish Washington waters when seasons allow. Rodgers Lodge out of Tahsis provides one of the worlds greatest opportunities to harvest salmon, halibut, lingcod and other bottom species and it all comes... More

I've been wanting to fish at Rodger's for several years and finally was able to make it happen the end of May for the Halibut Express. As many of the reviews have noted, weather was a big problem for a good part of the time and our trip was no different. Being the end of May, we also knew the... More

I am blaming the El Nino we had this year for the unprecedented weather problems that plagued us for most of the season. In the 24 years that we have been in this location we have never experienced a season like this season. The weather was hard on the guests, guides, staff and our equipment. The early season problems we... More

Traveled solo from Jacksonville Florida to cross another item off my bucket list. Did something you're never supposed to do on these types of excursions; I went to a place I had no first hand references on. Turns out everything was super, except for the windy weather offshore. Michelle did a fantastic job and handled an initial difficult situation very... More

Went back to Rodgers for the second year in June. The salmon fishing was slow - no fault of Doug's or his crew, the fish just weren't in. We switched over and went after Halibut and came home with over 200 lbs of halibut! I thought the food was great last year but it was even better this year. I... More

Thanks for the great review. We are fortunate to have one of the best chefs in the business and I look forward to dinner every night. Neil has been with us now for 3 years and he does an outstanding job for us. The fishing this year did not follow the normal patterns of previous years. I suspect because of... More
