I had so much fun and learned so much from Jib in the one on one cooking class. I had her full attention and she made it so easy to understand and learn about the different ingredients of the dishes we made together. She explains everything so well in her presentation and makes the learning experience so interesting, fun and... More

Thanks so much! We are really happy with our change to private party courses, It really allows us to focus on each visitor and the fun of cooking Thai food without getting lost in trying to hurry to get everything done and rushing through the process. We as hosts are also happy to enjoy making new friends and having unique... More

Really enjoyed the private cooking class with Jib. Instead of cooking the generic dishes that most Thai Cookery schools teach, Jib welcomed the opportunity to choose some not so common dishes with a few different suggestions. Definitely tailored to your cooking knowledge and your taste. It was a well worth day spent in the kitchen!

If you want to have a authentic cookery class then this is definately for you. My mum and I were picked up from our accomodation by jib and her family who were all very friendly. We then travelled into Chang Mai to visit a traditional market to learn about the different ingredients. Jib told us all about some of the... More

Very nice half-day activity in relaxing atmosphere in family business. We were the only two students. The course takes place at a semi-outside environment with a big table and 5 stoves so there is enough room for far more people. There is a nice garden which is a great asset if you come with kids. Jibs explainations are very good... More

What better way to learn more about a place than through its food? While many of us eat local dishes when we travel, not as many of us learn to cook it. Fortunately, Chiang Mai offers several cooking schools - one of which is Grandma's Thai Recipes. I thoroughly enjoyed my experience learning at the school. The trip to the... More

We spent 2 days with Jib and her team learning to cook. It was a wonderful experience. We started the day in the market - learning about the local produce, coconut milk production and all the different types of rice. Then we headed to her home for a day of cooking, eating, and having fun. We also enjoyed tea and... More

I had an excellent day at Grandma's Thai recipes cookery class, learning and making traditional Thai recipes that owner and teacher Jib has learned from her Grandma. It was a really informative day, starting off at the local food market and learning about ingredients, followed by preparing, cooking and eating (yum!) seven different dishes. The school is set in pretty... More
