This place is a paradise. The beach is just perfect one of those beaches that you don't want to leave the water. Bring a lot of water, food and everything you need. Also take the boat to enjoy the scenery.

I've been around... You won't beat this. This is my second time making the super long drive to Bahia de las águilas. Both times I stayed at 'Villas de Mar' (hotel in pedernales) which is very cheap and pretty nice (gave it 4 stars, will definitely return) I'm here this time because my buddy from Hawaii is in town and... From Barahona expect a 2.5 hour drive. The road is excellent and the scenery beautiful so go for it. Ideally you could camp in Las Cuevas - Cabo Rojo for a couple of nights to make the most of it. When you reach Las Cuevas - in theory a small fishing community - you get mobbed by organizers trying to... More

We came to the beach with Ecotour Barahona which was nice since we didn't have to worry about finding it. As soon as I saw the area where you board the boats to take you to the actual beach I knew we were in for a treat because it was gorgeous as well. The water is a gorgeous color and... More

Beautiful beach! It takes a long time to get there. It is at least 3 hours from Barahona. Once you get there you have to pay the tax which is 100 pesos. You then have to hire someone to take you there on a boat. We paid 1800 pesos for 6 people. It was kind of expensive so maybe you... More

Before coming here I had read all the reviews and my hopes were quite high, but they were all succeeded. Absolutely amazing place with white sand and turqoise color sea and the Only Beach I have ever felt that I just wanted to lay in the sand and roll around in the sand :) No public transportation goes all the... This is a place that EVERYBODY... More

I've visited around 30-40 beaches in different parts of the world, Bahia De Las Aguilas should be in my top 3. Cristal clear water and white puffy sand, you need to bring everything with you even water because this is a virgin place. If you are looking for a place to fully relax, no people around, this is your place.... More

What an experience! This was in my bucket list and finally made it. We decided to use a boat instead of the car, and that was a very smart decision because we had the opportunity to go through the rocky peaks in the way to the beach. We coordinated with Santiago Rodriguez, from Rancho Tipico Cueva de las Aguilas, a... More

Virgin beach in the south of Dominican Republic. To get there you usually take a boat which makes it very special. Clear turquoise waters in a desolated white sand field. Can compete with the top beaches worldwide.
