Very relaxing place, you feel amazed all the time with so nice view. I just loved it!! And it’s even better to finish it at the beach.

If you ever get a chance to visit Tauranga, don’t miss a chance to climb up Mt. Maunganui. Easy track up, and probably the most breathtaking sight you could ever have of Tauranga. The climb can be completed within 30 (even if you stop and...More

We weren't really prepared for the effort to get to the summit but did enjoy the walk down. You can break 850 metres from the top and head to main beach.

There was plenty of street parking during the afternoon I visited the area. Traffic was heavy getting in and out of the area though!

You can try. But there is no allocated parking for the track itself. However, walking around Mt Maunganui is just beautiful, so even if you have to park 5 or ten minutes away you will still enjoy yourself.
