We visited lalazar, only because landsliding had blocked the babusar top.
Mountainous track starts from Batakundi.
Very steep, vertical, full of bumps, one has his heart in mouth, when 2 jeeps cross eachother. Sometimes, the driver is driving on the absolutely outer edge of track, where on the right side is a huge 'khaai'. The track becomes even more dangerous, when it's wet or raining.
The place itself is worth it. Marvellous landscapes. Meadows, hill top, dense trees on the side, tracks for mules and hiking. 360° view is absolutely breathtaking.
It is not the most populous as most people prefer lulusar, babusar and only come here when the road is blocked.
All in all, highly recommended.

At the height of 10,500 feet (3,200 meters), Lalazar is a green meadow situated 21 km from Naran. The route to Lalazar is on the Mansehra-Naran-Babusar-Chillas highway toward Babusar, the drive is mesmerizing in itself as the marvelous River Kunhar is flowing along the route on the left and the mountain covered with Alpine Forest is on the right. The road till Battakundi is paved and smooth but after Battakundi, the road started climbing up on the mountain road, with hills on one side and a deep valley on the other side. This was a rough and dirt route and the only route going toward Lalazar. As the zig zag road keep on ascending the scenery starts changing and at some places, there are trees on one side and the river Kunhar can be seen flowing below the valley on the other but at some places, there are corn and potato farms with the road passing in between the farms. It took nearly an hour drive to reach Lalazar after Battakundi. Lalazar is the most beautiful meadow of the Kaghan valley and is surrounded by the snow covered mountains and the River Kunhar flowing thousands of miles below in the valley. Lalazar is filled with attractiveness, not only it has green plains and valleys but this place also has a forest. The forest is packed with Fir and Pine's trees spread over hundreds of miles. The flying butterflies, incredible smell of flowers and the lush green glass make this place and ideal location for picnic and pleasure. There is a restaurant at Lalazar where one can have tea, snacks, and food. Horse riding can also be a good activity here with many different types of horse that can be rented on reasonable cost. Moving up on the hill there is also a small population that resides on this plane, there living is dependent on farming and cattle raising. The feel of the fresh air and the smell of the forest will make you fall in love with this place.

I have been to Lalazar for almost 2,3 times by now. It's an excellent place and should visit for sure.

The only thing to look for is that If you have some back-problems be careful because way to Lalazar is not a proper road. It can only be reached via Jeeps and has a lot of bumps on it. In case of rain, it becomes slippery and almost becomes impossible to go there.

It is suggested to look for weather before planning to go there, local jeep drivers are very good in going there.
Last time I visited it in October, so greenery was not that much, best times to visit are from March till August if you want to see lush greenery.

This is a mountain Plateau at 11000 feet, it is about 25-30km(20-25 miles) from Naran on main Naran to Chilas/Babusar top road, U will see a small board pointing to a dirt jeep road on the right side coming from Naran, the climb is steep & very narrow bumpy dirt jeep track, takes about 45 minutes to reach Lalazar, Once on top the VIEWS are Amazing with cool mountain breeze, smell of pine & wild flowers, snow on the side & beautiful streams and water falls.
The Views are Breath taking, a true HEAVEN ON EARTH. You can clearly see Malika Parbat(Quuen of the Mountains) Peak, THE HIGHEST Peak in Kaghan Valley at nearly 17500 feet, from here.
Lalazar is a stepped Plateau. Locals plant Potatoes in Summer here in the steps. There is a small hotel selling fod/drinks. & toilet facility is also available but it is Eastern Toilet where you have to sit.
Water is Pure & drinkable here fresh from springs/streams.
A MUST VISIT NOT TO Be MISSED. Best time to go is from May to mid September. Closed during other months due to Snow.
You can hire jeeps from Naran town OR from Shogran, from Shogran it is about 5-6 hr drive depending on Road conditions & from Naran atleast a 2 hr drive depending on Road.

Lalazar is a green meadow situated at the height of an elevation of 3,123 metres (10,246 ft) above the sea level, located in upper Kaghan Valley in Mansehra District of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Province of Pakistan, The route to Lalazar is on the Mansehra-Naran-Babusar-Chillas highway toward Babusar, the drive is mesmerizing in itself as the marvelous River Kunhar is flowing along the route on the left and the mountain covered with Alpine Forest is on the right. The road till Battakundi is paved and smooth but after Battakundi, the road started climbing up on the mountain road.

The access road was very bumpy and is only accessbile by 4x4 jeeps. Very dangerous roads, slippery and windy, very dangerous during drizzling, on the top got beautiful view and awesome food at the top of the mountain, very fresh air. Lalazar offers beautiful meadows and prairies with terraced slopes and postcard views.
