Best place visit in DIAMIR district Gilgit Baltistan
It’s closed during winters till mid of June. It is also a gateway to Gilgit baltistan. You can see lulusar lake and other attraction on the way to babusar pass. Road leading to gilgit is very tricky, only experienced driver should drive there. Plz do check your vehicle break as it’s very steep slope.

Best time is May if the way is not closed.
when i reach there while going to Gilgit there was a lil snow fall and view was mesmerising. Ice on the peaks is melting and every year scenes are different
Once upon a time it was a vacant spot with natural beauty but we humans are making it worst continuously
Plz don’t throw trash there

The Babusar Pass connects Khyber Pakhtunkhwa with Gilgit Baltistan. It is one of the most dangerous routes in Gilgit-Baltistan. Babusar Top was originally known as Babur Top, originating from the fact that the Mughal emperor Babur used to pass through this area in the early 16th century. Nowadays, however, it is commonly referred to as Babusar Top

From Chilas one leaves the KKH and goes toward Babusar Pass. This is a "short cut" to Islamabad. Given the twisting road and sometimes large pot-holes it is an amazing trip. I think once was enough for me, but maybe I would consider it again if stopping to sleep somewhere. Otherwise, it was a marathon 19-hour drive from Gilgit to Islamabad - might have been less without three landslides. Stop at the pass and try the salt cooked maize, but make sure your blood pressure is okay. Glaciers, glacial lakes, incredible scenery - amazing trip!

Babusar pass is basically a peak of a mountain having height of 13,700 ft which is almost half of Mount Everest. Located just in the beginning of Gilgit. It is almost 35 to 40 km from Borawai. The roads is very well made but you should prefer to go early in the morning to avoid traffic and crowd on the pass.Do look out for the whether, do not travel in rainy conditions as it is extremely dangerous and deadly because of sliding and slippery road conditions. l visited the place with my family and have found it completely celestial..!. The cold chilly wind and fresh air with an extraordinary scene of tremendous mountains covered with light snow and clouds just before the eyes, mesmerised me.! I couldn’t take my eyes off of such a beautiful and heavenly scenery. The top is all clear there are no houses or hotels, just clear ground maybe a suitable place for camping. Some of the areas were covered with snow and rocks, which should be watched out for because they are slippery and may cause severe injury. One must definitely think of visiting the place and experience the mightiest forms of creation of Allah, there is nothing made by humans there, every single area and scene of that place echoes the greatness of Allah. I didn’t wanted to go back as the site had me completely captured but after all one has to reach back home.
I assure you that your effort to reach Babusar pass will be fruitful and you will be dazzled by the amazing scenes there.
I hope my review would be helpful.

Babusar Pass/Top is the highest point at an elevation of about 13,700 feet at the border of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Gilgit Baltistan provinces of Pakistan. The road is fully carpeted, wide and useable for all kinds of vehicles. Very beautiful sceneries on both sides of the top are waiting for the visitors with cold breeze even in chilled summer.
