A beautiful memorial. The accompanying museum was small, but informative. Watch the 20 minute video, it's so worth it and gives you an even greater perspective. The thousands and thousands of crosses set amongst the memorial with the city looming large in the background is so haunting, yet peaceful. Thoroughly recommend.

'Peace comes only to those who are ready to die for their cause.'
When life is good, it is easy to forget why we are here enjoying what we have. It is because of those who stood for the cause of freedom, those who fell to fight for it, that we are entitled to a life of bliss and progress. Remembering the 'fallen', the heroes of war, reminds us to treasure our democracy and to teach our next generation to learn to stand and fight for it when the need arises.

This is a truly well-done memorial for the thousands who lost their lives (including MIAs) in defense of the Philippines and the Pacific. The landscaping is immaculate, the layout inviting, and the tributes striking.

I appreciated the detailed mosaic maps within the Memorial, which are highly if not overly informative. I'm sure they're organized in some way, but I didn't attempt to figure it out, so they seemed to be (disorganized, at least to me) maps from pages out of a history book.

Free admission, but I had to show ID at the gate for entry. 140 PHP by metered taxi from Makati. A clean bathroom is located just behind the air-conditioned Visitors Building.

Easy 15-minute walk from SM Aura. The guard at the front gate will ask for an ID, then you will be asked to log your name. This site is open at 9am to 5pm everyday except Christmas and New Year. It's a good place to learn more about a chunk of history whether you are America, Filipino, Japanese, Chinese, etc.
it's a good place to validate, confirm, negate or question the history books and documentaries that abound. It's a good place to pay respect to those who gave their own lives so that we are here today enjoying what they fought for and died for before.
If you love to enjoy some peace and quiet amidst the crazy, noisy city, this is the best place to go. After soaking in your peace, atmosphere of honor and valor, a quick walk back to SM Aura will bring you back to reality.

I had no idea the American armed forces were so heavy involved in the Philippines. This place was highly educational, clean and seeing the American flag made me proud. We were with a tour and only stayed 20 min, I could have stayed for hours looking at all the different battles they had reconstructed on the walls. A must see!!!!!!!!!

This facility is immaculately maintained, and the number of gravesites is quite humbling. There are mosaics that offer a Readers' Digest timeline of the War in the Pacific. Very worth taking the time to stroll the beautiful grounds, remind yourself of the history, and give thanks to those who gave the ultimate sacrifice.

This is a solemn yet beautiful cemetery where brave souls rest sacrificing their lives for the freedom of the Philippines. US and Phillipine soldiers are buried. Over 16,000 US soldiers and over 500 Philippine soldiers are buried here. The memorial is something you should not miss.

One of the must see in Manila. The place is incredible peaceful in such a busy city. They are doing excellent job in maintaining the place. You can read through all the historical on the wall which is also stunning in design and layout. It is definitely good reminder for us on war ...
