Marzamemi village. The central square with its churches, tiny stone fishing huts and many restaurants is well worth a visit. Vibrant colourful square with a distinctly Greek flavour.

Unable to visit as it's now an events' location but you can see the outside and imagine what it was like. The square in front of it is fabulous with lots of restaurants. It was very busy when we were there at all times of the day but it has a lovely atmosphere.

Loved this place!! So beautiful!! It is pretty much all pedestrianised so it is a lovely walk around. August is pretty full but we came three years ago in early July and it was less busy and super charming. Would definitely recommend!!

Marzamemi is in the south east coast of Sicily Island, in the Siracusa area, it's an old Tunafish village.

Never heard of it but was advised to visit by a Sicilian. About 30 mins from Noto. Supposed to be really nice at night. We had 2 hours here in the late afternoon and were able to easily park right near the heart of the old town.
Beautiful, old fishing village that appears to be morphing into a tourist hot spot. The square was gorgeous. Early July but not overcrowded so we enjoyed our stop with a drink in the square and some shopping. Looks like plenty to do and a nice change from the bigger towns.

We are pleased that we visited this place even though we thought we would be visiting a tuna museum. The building is now not accessible unless you are going to a function there.
However the surrounding area is lovely to walk around and stop to admire the views.
I definitely would NOT go here in high season.
Worth a visit if you are going this way out of main season

Feels like time hasn't changed for the past 3,000 years! The most amazing tuna factory. Definitely worth the detour.

Placed on the front of this lovely small village, it's a large warehouse with lots of local foods and specialities. It's surrounded by the lovely smell of the sea. Worth a visit

What a beautiful place... Well preserved, romantic, just stunning. Plenty decent options around to have lunch as well but you can easily feed on views and history surrounding you. Famous 'blue chairs' featured in thousands of photos, difficult to get one with no tourists obstructing the view though ;)

this large warehouse is on the beautiful beach front. You can buy most packaged jars and tins of different fish here as well as the famous dried tomatoes that grow in abundance in sicily.A really small quaint place with lovely places to eat on the beach.
