    outstanding
The concert itself was outstanding, the sound was really good but the screens were too low from our seating area to see without some difficulty. As stated in another post, people were leaving early as the walk back to the coach car park was very steep and as my sister has walking difficulties and is 75 we had to get a head start as it took her ages to get up the hills, but we could still hear the concert on our way back. It would be a good idea for some info somewhere regarding the steep slopes, some of our party really struggled. Fabulous scenery all round.

    Fabulous concert dreadful organisation
Text: We attended to the Andrea Bocelli concert . It was wonderful the experience was fantastic But ……spoiled by the organisation ,is the worst I have ever witnessed ,especially the security going into the concert . Ridiculous 2 people to see 12.000 people in …it took an hour and a half of standing in a queue . There are long queues for drinks waiting up to 40 minutes ,dreadful ticket system ….toilets ….long long queues and dirty ,smelly . Beautiful venue , wonderful experience slightly ruined but the worst ever organisation Surely Andre Bocelli can help to improve this as it’s apparently this bad every year

Chaos which ruined a magical event
My dream was to see Bocceli here in lajatico. The concert was amazing BUT I would not go again unless they sort out the organisation. It’s dangerous ! We are very able but it was sad seeing 12,000 people shuffling for over 2 hours to get in just because 2 people checking bags wanted to take your weapons off you ( the plastic caps on your water bottles) with the average age well over 50 I think the last thing they would be doing is launching plastic caps 200ft at Amos. We booked with Adrianna & Friends and they were fantastic. Everything was as booked and fabulous communication. Big shout to Luca who was such a good host. After years doing this event I cannot believe how the organisation is so shambolick. It took the edge off of the whole event and instead of warm memories we will remember the chaos.

    Shambolic organisation overshadowed the evening.
After reading previous years reviews we went to the show with an open mind, expecting there to be logistical challenges with putting on such an event in a remote area. However, the event organisation was simply shambolic. We waited in over an initial 2 hour queue standing in the road because there were 2 security staff for 12,000 visitors. The purpose of the security check was laughable, to remove bottle tops from plastic bottles, but no checking of bags etc. The lack of direction at any point in the venue was poor, some simple signage showing where toilets, bars etc. and seating areas would be something so simple but make a huge difference. The stewards displayed a real lack of awareness or interest in what was going on or assisting visitors. The number of people leaving early was considerable, presumably to try and avoid queues but this generally started 4/5 songs before the end. We booked coach transfers with Arianna & Friends who were absolutely fantastic start to finish. Andrea was as great as ever (4th time seeing him live), but unfortunately some of the guest performers weren't on par with previous. All in all the shambolic logistcs spoilt what should have been a memorable evening and although I would definetly see Andrea again, it would be at a 'proper' venue.

Visited July 2023 for Bocelli concert
Attended the Bocelli concert July 2023. Amazing experience. We paid extra for executive parking and exec tickets which included hospitality. Well worth it. However a few things - an hour into hospitality the queue for food and drinks was ridiculously long and snaking around the whole area. Luckily we got there when it opened. Also it wasn’t clear how we obtained the hospitality wristbands as no one directing us once our tickets were checked - we just went into the queue with general admission. The hospitality area was far too small for the amount of people. Toilets are not nearby the exec area but up near the theatre with a queue of 30 mins and were filthy. Only two disabled toilets I noticed which again were far up the hill near the back of the stadium. Exec parking gave us a very quick exit which was good. Great evening just could be made better experience with a larger hospitality area and toilets nearby

    Wow!
Words fail me. What a setting! What a night! Saw Andrea Boccelli and guests performing opera and songbook stuff with third encore Nessun Dorma. A perfect evening. Only niggle was delayed start which I expect was planned for light show after dark but we had been in our seats for an hour and a half watching adverts on loop. Don’t rely on catering as endless queues and you can only take water through the gate not soft drinks which were confiscated. Best to dine out before arrival. Parking is in field so take sensible footwear. Ok getting in but chaotic getting out but never mind that. An experience of a lifetime. I felt so lucky to be there on warm summers evening.

    Andrea B concert - amazing
Simply fabulous. The auditorium was in the middle of an amazing Tuscan valley. Andrea Bochelli was superb as were his guests. The whole production was marvellous with amazing sound quality. Parking is obviously an issue but get a deal for someone to drive you there and back, it was easy.

USA to Italy to see Bocelli concert
The town of Volterra, closest to the venue is charming. As far as the venue, it's a long walk to get to your seats, even though we used a tour bus company to get there. The concert typically starts about 1 hour late and runs till about 12:30 a.m. Andrea Bocelli does an incredible concert. The first half is all opera, the second half are songs you would recognize. The venue did take charge cards for buying drinks and water. One line to get your ticket for your drinks and another line to pick up the drinks. The bathrooms are portables and get very messy as the night goes on, ran out of toilet paper and soap and water for washing afterwards. It was a long day as we left our hotel at 5:00 p.m. and got back at about 1:00 a.m. Due to traffic the tour company wanted to get us there early. Flew into Florence, private taxi to Volterra, small tour bus to the venue. I think the small town of Volterra made it all worthwhile.

3 of us paid over $300 per ticket to see his concert in Taormina plus flights and hotel. At the onset the announcer requests people not video. Flashes were going off like crazy and a woman behind us had the audacity to turn on a bright LCD light to film him disturbing all of us around her while her husband barked at us to shut up and mind our own business. Meanwhile none of the ushers did nothing. We contacted his website to explain and request a portion of our money - twice. No response. Don't waste your time or money.

I bought 2 executive concert tickets for my husband's 50th birthday and we travelled from Scotland to Lajatico, excited about the event. The concert was cancelled due to weather - and I understand that these things happen. However I have been trying to get a refund for the €900 I spent on the tickets from Viva ticket and also from the Andrea Bocelli contact form on his website. 7 months after the event and I am still waiting! Do not buy tickets unless you are prepared to lose the money if the concert is cancelled. The service levels from viva ticket are appalling and I have had no luck via the AB website. Very disappointed. We saw Andrea in Berlin for my husband's 40th and now this experience has marred that event too.

Booked package (hotel+tickets+transfer) last year for Teatro del Silenzo concert through one of the operators ,concert was ''postponed'' due to covid to a specific date this year (no refunds it's simply 'postponed' and tickets allegedly valid)
Have been trying to find out what is happening as a)there are travel restrictions from UK meaning no travel insurance possible and quarantine in Italy (even if travel possible concert is on day 2 of 5 day package so would be in quarantine and couldn't attend ) b) social distancing in venue - event is sold out so many of tickets would be invalid.
Operator has had it confirmed last week that concert is going ahead and asked for urgent details of those who cannot attend due to travel restrictions and hoped to respond within a few days with solutions for those unable to travel.
Operator is still waiting for an answer from Boccelli organisation , concert is 4 weeks away and was fully paid 18 months ago. Hotel will not be used , nor transfers or tickets .Package cost over 3000 euros.
When are we to be told how to obtain a refund or what solution is being proposed ? It's already been held over from last year and was imposed upon us .
About time the Boccelli organisation stepped up and took responsibility !

My brother bought 6 tickets for your 2020 concert in Lajatico for my 60th Birthday. We were so excited but then Covid hit. The concert was postponed until this summer and there was hope and excitement again but due to restrictions we are still unable to attend as we live in the U.K. Along with the disappointment of not being able to go to the concert we will also loose all the money spent on the tickets - we are not even being offered any alternative venues. We don’t want a refund we just want to be able to go to a concert. PLEASE CAN YOU HELP?
Yours hopefully. Shirley Parker

Took my wife on this most romantic trip and it was absolutely incredible. If you are a fan of This modern day giant I highly recommend this trip. Andrea gave a performance of a life time. When he and Mateo performed together it was very hard to hold back the tears.

If I0 were the highest score for a great experience, I would give this event a 20!! We loved it that much. The whole setting for surreal. Our son is in a motorized wheelchair, so our seats were in the accessible section, and the accommodations were phenomenal.

We arrived early and enjoyed a spectacular sunset. The Bocelli concert started after dark, so there was a long wait, but we enjoyed every minute just loving the atmosphere and the beautiful views.

We splurged and hired a limo service for transportation but it was so worth it to have transportation to the event parking and waiting for us as we left.

Since we were unable to use the faster route of some steps exiting, we had to walk/roll a little further to stay on the road, but wow, were we rewarded by Andrea Bocelli exiting the theater right in front of us to mount his horse, engage with the small crowd, before galloping off across the fields. It was amazing and a perfect end to a perfect evening.

We spent a month in Italy, and this was definitely one of the highlights of my trip!

We bought our tickets online and then decided to buy a dinner package and transfer at the Boccelli restaurant. Whilst the meal was fairly good and it was lovely to meet and sit with other guests also having the dinner and show I would advise anyone to allow plenty of time to get to the Theatro . Traffic was to say the least horrendous and we nearly missed the show so if your going to go to see Boccelli make your own way there in plenty of time. There is one road one lane meandering up to the venue with horrendous queues. By the time we got there and we got into the theatre there was no one there to guide us to our seats as it was dark. We must have asked so many “ staff” who were too lazy to help at this point. Eventually we found our seats and the show was good but I think I’d see Andrea in a more organised arena next time!
