About
There is a place in the heart of the Galilee, in the village of Kanna, where Jewish and Arab women work in equality and mutual respect: Sindyanna of Galilee’s factory and Visitors Center for Fair Trade. We invite you to be part of our vision of a just society with peace and equal opportunity for all. Sindyanna of Galilee is a unique non-profit organization led by a team of Arab and Jewish women working to create social change from the ground up. Our goals are to produce outstanding olive oil and other premium food products, while enhancing Arab-Jewish cooperation, promoting Fair Trade, creating economic opportunities for Arab women, and assisting local growers and producers. We offer group activities including olive oil tastings, basket weaving workshops, cooking workshops with local chefs, and lunches offering traditional cuisine (advance registration is required for all). You can also purchase Sindyanna’s quality products, including organic and regular olive oil, za’atar (a hyssop-based herb blend), honey, almonds, carob syrup, and olive-oil cosmetics, as well as food from local producers, palm-frond baskets, embroidery, and other traditional crafts.

A loving and social justice experience. This group has created jobs for Arab women improving these families economy and building confidence in them. As a result they produce organic olive oil you can purchase at Whole foods as well as other products made of these olives and baskets they weave. Lets help this Fair Trade company sell their products near us, like Sprouts where I frequently shop.

I traveled to Israel with my 2 teenage boys, and we made an appointment to visit Sindyanna. It was such an incredible treat. Our hostess spent SO much time with us, and we learned so much! The boys and I thoroughly enjoyed learning how to taste different olive oils and how to make za'atar, and we were thrilled to have the za'atar, and the oil and soaps from the gift shop, to take home with us! I highly recommend a visit here...it is a truly inspiring place! Thanks to everyone at Sindyanna!

This is a fantastic (and delicious!) initiative. A female-led nonprofit, Sindyanna brings together Arab and Jewish women to collaborate on farm and craft-related projects. We were delighted to taste extraordinary honey pulled directly from the hive, sample fresh olive oil, and enjoy samples of Sindyanna's halvah. This is the perfect place to buy souvenirs for people at home. You can purchase secure in the knowledge that the money is going to great people doing great work.

Taste the high quality olive oil, the carob and honey spread, or the halva, and think of all the wonderful people you are helping! Sindyanna is a social justice venture that helps give Arab farmers a fair price for their products, supports the empowerment of Arab women, and creates a strong agricultural base for the farmers in the Galilee. We bought fair trade olive oil soaps, baskets, and creams as gifts to support this amazing cooperative project between Arabs and Jews in Israel.

Sindyanna hosted a wonderful lunch for our tour group, gave us a lovely presentation, and allowed us plenty of time to shop their remarkable products, including olive oil, honey, soap and more.
The local workers also shared about their life and work. A great experience and a great cause!

We were lucky enough to visit Sindyanna while there was a group being offered tastings of several delicious products made by local Arab farmers, including home made zatar bread, tahini, olive oil, and real carob syrup which was amazing, plain or mixed with tahini. Many other appealing products made by local Arab women were on display. The short film which explains the work of Sindyanna is a moving testament to the group's great work for Jewish-Arab co-operation, that made my visit to northern Israel much more meaningful.

Dear Guest It was great to meet you and the rest of the group. It is always an honor to answer to a lot of questions and to discover partners to our vision from the other side of the Globe. Hoping to spread our message of peace and cooperation and building bridges instead of separate walls. Best wishes Dani Ben Simhon Sindyanna Of Galilee Visitors Center Co Manager

Sindyanna is the only place in Galilee in which you can REALLY join good tastes, smells and local products with human rights, solidarity and mutual coexistence between Israelis and Palestinians. This is the real added value of this wonderful initiative

This centre is a tribute to what can be done when people work together. Not only can you sample the most amazing olive oil (and other local delicacies), but you can also see how Sindyanna helps local women use their skills to increase their income potential by creating the most wonderful baskets. You can even try and make your own basket on your visit. Your visit will support the local community, and give you an insight into the different ways people from all backgrounds in the Galilee are working together to create something really special.
