Enmore is always a good place to watch a show whether it be a concert or a comedy show. Smallish intimate theatre. BUT be aware that parking in this area is nigh on impossible. You must prebook the car park associated with Enmore (google it)...More
I went to see Miss Pole Dance Australia for the first time ever since it first started. The performances were pretty amazing.
The tiered seating was ok, just a shame the tiers weren’t more on incline so that each row had better views of the...More
This was our first visit to "The Enmore" and we were very impressed with not only the interior but the great layout of the theatre. It is really great for a comedy production (Space Wogs - The Ethnics Strike Back) which includes musical numbers as...More
Not just Rock but blues and all sorts of concerts are performed in this classic Art Deco ex cinema. Simple renovations over recent years have improved the toilets and other amenities. Seats are quite comfortable and nearby are many great inexpensive restaurants and bars.
Have visited the Enmore many times, both front and backstage (officially and unofficially). The acoustics are pretty good; good enough to have acts coming back for more. The seating and environs are a little old but they hold up really well for all sorts of...More

A Bohemian inner-west suburb known for its alternative music scene, Newtown is a diverse community offering a multitude of restaurants, art galleries, performance spaces, thrift stores and bars. Home of some of the best live music venues in the city, shows can be found everywhere from the official theaters to the neighborhood pubs. From its humble beginnings as a neighborhood primarily known for its many Thai
restaurants, Newtown has evolved into a foodie's paradise with a delightful array of highly innovative cuisines from around the world. It is still possible to eat on a budget, but if you crave a more sophisticated menu, Newtown will not disappoint.
Recommended restaurant near Enmore Theatre in Newtown? (6 Replies)
Hi, I'm going to a concert this Monday (Queen's Birthday) with 3 of my girlfriends and was wondering whether anyone can suggest a good place to eat that is relatively close in walking distance to the Enmore Theatre in Newtown? Not too pricey, a nice hearty meal with good atmosphere and maybe a couple of drinks. Thanks, Ann

Hi Ann, Whatever you do, please don't get suckered in by the Peruvian place (Incas) next door to the theatre. It's awful. Newtown has tons of great Thai restaurants, but there are also some great Greek places and loads of pubs. The majority of the good stuff is further up King St towards the city.
