Sydney Comedy Festival
May 2021
I recently visited the Enmore theatre during the Sydney Comedy Festival. It was a great venue, the venue was very organised with the strict covid restrictions and overall felt very safe. Really enjoyed AKMAL.

This is a theatre with atmosphere and soul
Apr 2021
We saw Tommy Little here and he was hilarious. We were in row F in the stalls and I loved the old Theatre, it has atmosphere and soul, not sure what some of the other reviews are going on about. I'd go back and see another show there, no problem.

Awesome staff
Mar 2020
My friend forgot to bring his passport and one of the staff didn't let him enter the venue although he was not planning to drink. While my friend was asking his friend to send a copy of his passport, another staff called Surjeet Singh let him in by giving him a wristband proving that he can't buy drinks. Thus, we were able to make it to the concert on time!!!!

Great artist, atrocious venue
Jan 2020 • Family
We saw the amazing and fabulous Lauren Daigle at the Enmore Theatre last night. She was outstanding but seriously let down by a smelly, old, dusty relic - a poor excuse for a venue. The seats creaked and moved and were very uncomfortable. Even though we were dead centre, midway back we couldn’t see the stage. The sound was ok but at times it made the rusty metal railings reverb in horrible ways. Terribly disappointing. Glad Miss LD did such a good job despite the horrid venue. The photo was taken when I got up and went to the toilet as I couldn’t see from where I sat.

The Enmore Theatre is an Absolute Dump
Jan 2020 • Solo
I went to see Daniel Tosh last night. He was everything I expected - he put on an amazing show like I knew he would. However, The Enmore Theatre is nothing but a dump. I've never sat in more uncomfortable seats, the place looked old and dirty. I have nothing positive to say about the venue. If this is where international artists are coming to perform then Sydney should be embarrassed. DT made some jokes about the bushfires. It's such a shame they didn't burn the Enmore Theatre down.

Don’t do it to yourself
Jan 2020 • Friends
Seeing a show at the Enmore when you have an option to go anywhere else is a mistake. During the January 17th Daniel Tosh comedy show at the small, hot, smelly, and dated (not even in a retro and cool way), security at this place proved they were as useful as lipstick on a pig. When a girl in front of me pulled her phone out they were on her in seconds but when a drunk started a fight with anyone around him and was throwing drinks everywhere? Nothing. When it was raised with the Head of Security they shrugged it off. Honestly, do yourself a favour and avoid at all costs.

Archaic, but in a good way
Nov 2019
Saw a show here last week, the sound seemed off for a lot of the concert but it did not detract from the general energy and atmosphere too badly. The inner architecture seemed outdated though this only added to its charm. Other than that, staff were nice and toilets were clean.

Fabulous old fashioned building with great acoustics
Aug 2019
Despite being a fairly old building, this theatre is well maintained and lovingly preserved and has all the atmosphere of an old fashioned theatre. Even our seat down the back had excellent acoustics, and the stage and band felt close. Drinks at the bar are very reasonably priced, and toilets and facilities well maintained. Easy to get to by public transport - providing you know your way around that rat hole known as Sydney

Old school Aussie
Sep 2018 • Friends
We went to see a traditional Aussie rock band, You Am I. The queuing area was under cover but the queue moved very quickly. Bar prices were as expected but service was good and very fast, The main area was a it musty even with only a few people but, what ever. Good view from everywhere, adequate toilets. All good.
