Quiet Out Of The Way Beach
May 2021
Scotts Head and Scotts Head Beach was somewhat of a surprise and a pretty place with some charm and in fact some potential as a more significant holiday destination. Too bad about the caravan park that takes up most of the prime foreshore area but overall a pretty place.

Over-crowded. Lost its quiet, off the beaten track appeal
Feb 2021
It is not a getaway any longer. The beach is cramped on weekends and holidays. If there are waves the surf is full of locks and tourists competing for them. Shame it became so over crowded - it used to be e gem of a place

Safe and clean
Jan 2021 • Family
The main beach is very safe for young children. The water is very clean and wonderfully warm . The sand is soft and clean . Couldn’t ask for more from a beach .

Best Longboard Break on the North Coast
Aug 2020
This beach is fantastic. Shallow and safe, with a lovely right hand point break and left and right banks along the beach. Friendly community of surfers.

Perfection

Perfect beach for everyone, kids loved it. It's one of my favorite places to be. Water is always nice, waves aren't too big, great place to swim and surf.

Busy busy
Sep 2019 • Couples
Busy place. Seemed cramped. Sites are small too close to surrounding campers. Our friends were unlucky enough to be put under a tree with bats that dropped so much rubbish on their caravan. I Was glad to move on

Unspoilt coastal village
Mar 2019
If you like peaceful and naturally beautiful coastal destinations this beach rates in my top 10 in New South Wales. Also a surfers secret with great surf around the point. No crowds please

Beautiful, dramatic beaches
Jan 2019
The Scotts Head area consists of 4 beaches. The most northern of these beaches is patrolled by surf lifeguards and is a safe place for families to swim. Swimming is not advised at the other beaches which lie to the south (one has no sand, the waves crash onto rocks) but there are walking trails around these headlands which reveal a wild, rocky coast line.

Village life

Scotts Head has everything, if you want a relaxing family holiday. From Forster Beach, the main beach which the caravan and cabin park backs onto, and which stretches all the way to the Nambucca River, to the privacy of Middle Beach, it has everything. Surfing off the headland and some stretches, long flat areas for kiddies. The snorkling is amazing, but please don't harass the turtles and rays. Whales pass the coast and put on some great displays, often coming in quite close, with dolphin friends. The Surf Club has live music on Sundays, and Happy Hour. Great group of people. You can hire surf boards and stand up paddle boards through their very cheap membership. The RSL Club has the normal wide range of services we expect from this organisation. The food is wonderful. 12km off the Pacific Highway, just short of Macksville, you will have to book ahead to get accommodation anywhere. But it is worth it.
