We spent several hours here during a road trip through Prince Edward Island. The Acadian story is often overlooked. There were interesting displays. Really enjoyed the discussion of their music.

Being from the States, my wife and I had no prior knowledge of the Acadians. We learned about their history, hardships, culture, and their status today. The lady working there was very pleasant and able to answer all our questions. There were a few interactive exhibits but it was mostly reading text and artifacts along with a short film. We... More

Was interested in the history of PEI. It was small enough to not be boring and informative enough to give a good story. The video was very good. The woman at the front desk was very helpful

The 2 grandsons were very happy to learn some of our Acadian heritage and I am sure will retain the information due to the amount of visual and written information in the museum that was very well presented.

This is a great historical representation of the acadian community of PEI. The main exhibit is really interesting, but it is getting a little bit old. I highlly recommend this museum for people who are interested in acadian history

The museum does a great job of explaining and depicting the life of the French Acadian people of PEI. It contained many exhibits and artifacts to view. There is a nice video presentation on the Acadian life in PEI as well as a section on how archaeological sites are excavated to preserve the history

We enjoyed this museum learning much about the Acadians that came to this area of PEI. The museum has a nice video and many artifacts to view. Also told a lot about archeology in the area.

Nice museum about the Acadians. Loved the life size displays. Definitely worth the visit. Spend an hour or two.

I'd been looking forward to this visit from the start of planning my trip, and was not disappointed. You start with a film on the Acadian experience, and especially if you're unfamiliar with their history, it prepares you for the well-thought out exhibits in the museum. At a few of the exhibits, you get to read from the letters of... More

The Museum provided a great overview of the Acadian History ... not something a lot of Canadians likely know about. The staff was fantastic. The exhibits very interesting. The video presentation worth watching. Glad we took time to stop.
