Nice cultural and heritage stop in P.E.I in the smal but culturally significant town of Miscouche, where the Acadian flag and anthem we chosen you n August 15, 1884. The museum depicts deportation of the Acadians in 1755. A great history lesson of the hardship experienced by island Acadians.

Worth a visit if you are passing through. You can even take self-directed Acadian dance lessons, should the spirit move you!

I enjoyed learning about the history of the Acadians in Canada. I always like to learn more about our great country. The museum is small but well organized and is reasonably priced for admission. I highly recommend visiting this museum.

This place put it all together for us! We are so grateful for this wonderful museum that displayed the artifacts and demonstrated the history perfectly so that we GOT IT! The rich French/Acadian lives on. Merci.

I have Acadian roots in PEI so my family decided to check the museum out. Great little museum. Lots of great information for those who want to know more. I was educated on the early days of Acadian living, who settled, what they did for a living and what happened when they were sent away. Recommended spot to visit when... More

There is a 15 minute video available in French or English. They have a permanent exhibit explaining the history of Acadians on the island. The current temporary exhibit is on step dancing on the island. I would highly recommend going just to see the temporary exhibit. It was well priced and a quick activity to do during our day.

I learned a lot about the Acadia history in Canada. The film (available in english and French) provides a good starting point before seeing the museum exhibits. The exhibit on music and dancing was great.

We spent several hours here during a road trip through Prince Edward Island. The Acadian story is often overlooked. There were interesting displays. Really enjoyed the discussion of their music.
