Not a pleasant experience or owner
Sep 2021 • Couples
Stale beer, flat lager and under cooked burgers. Owner that's simply has no personality, despised by many and has been seen bullying other publicans. Why would you want to visit?

Local food and drink
Jun 2021
This a family run pub who also serve food which has to be pre ordered. The pizza's are the best we have ever had, and we also tried the mixed kebabs the last time we visited and they were really good.
The outside beer garden has been refurbished and is a lovely place to sit and drink or eat when the weather is nice.
Well recommended.

Love the Robin, it's been my local for 4 years now. The range of drinks is great and the food they have started to serve is amazing too. We miss you Robin!

Great Beers
Nov 2019
The Robin Hood is a gem of a pub in the village of Altofts. Always a great selection of beers, including their own which is brewed on the premises. If you're a dog owner then you are more than welcome as the owners dog is often in there. They offer homemade pizzas on a Friday as they have their own wood fired oven, but we've not had one yet so can't comment.

Went to this pub as we were nearby and dogs are allowed, pub was packed, they even give you dog treats over the bar, bar staff brought water to our table for the dog, without being asked, good atmosphere and smashing people , definatly go back

LOCAL
Mar 2017 • Couples
THE best pub in Wakefield by far they brew their own real ales and the staff are like family. There's a large outside seating area and car parking. Live music is played by local artists it's a family run business so give it a try you won't be disappointed.

Brilliant village pub, especially for real ale and gin fans
Nov 2016 • Couples
This pub has been transformed by the new owners over the last two years. It boasts its own micro-brewery, friendly dog, a fast-changing selection of real ales (because they are so popular) and now an impressive gin selection.

A friendly welcome is guaranteed and there's a selection of things to go throughout the week. Tuesday nights are especially busy due to the popular quiz (don't miss the Family Fortunes round which is compiled by the quiz master genuinely asking 100 Wakefield folk his questions).

With plans to expand the brewery, a pizza oven soon to be put into use and no sign of its popularity waning, this is definitely THE place to call for a drink if you're in Altofts.
