About
Parés Baltà is a family owned traditional winery that goes back to 1790. We are winemakers with a long tradition but with new and fresh ideas. The company is guided into a new era of high quality wine production under the management of Joan and Josep Cusiné and the inconditional help of their father Joan Cusiné Cusiné. We produce high quality wines and cavas with grapes from our 5 estates, situated around the winery and in the mountains of Penedès. The altitude varies from 170 to 750m and offers a diverse mixture of soils and microclimates. That gives a special personality to our wines by bringing the essence of the Mediterranean ecosystem to our grapes. At Parés Baltà, the winemaking is in the hands of Mª Elena Jiménez and Marta Casas, oenologists and wives of Joan and Josep. Two skilled young women whose efforts are reflected in the quality of the wines, showing fine character and concentration yet with elegance and balance.

    Fantastic!
This is our all time favourite winery in Penedes. We’ve been visiting on our own and with family and friends for almost five years. There’s always a warm welcome and the wines are delicious. The wine tour with tastings and cheese is superb. Florence is an amazing guide. The wine makers are always looking to improve and explore new styles and methods of producing wine so every time we visit there’s always something new to try. Highly recommended!

Half-day wineyard activity with a traditions
If you dream about Spain and wine, go here. A familybased wineyards with a hints of old days but also very nicely told basics about wineroots etc. Tastingroom was nice and specially cava was tasteful. Somehow I liked this place, quiet enough and you could sense the historical part of these lands also.

    Highly Recommend the 4x4 Tour
We had an amazing time on the 4x4 tour, our guide Carlos was incredibly knowledgeable on wine, approachable, and friendly. The vehicle was clean and comfortable. It was such a great experience to sip wine in the vineyards and see the gorgeous park and views on the top of the mountain. The wine was excellent, organic and biodynamic, and this winery has so many types they have something for everyone. The clay pot aged wines were unique and it added something special that you typically only see in wines from the country of Georgia. We did the extra lunch part of the tour and I highly recommend it, so much food and it was exquisite with the wine. When we come back we’ll definitely repeat this tour, it was such a wonderful experience.

Our family of four (2 parents and 2 adult children) visited this winery following a trip to Montserrat and are very glad we did. Florence was our guide, and she did an excellent job with our short tour and in-depth tastings . We sat on the patio in the beautiful Catalan early spring sunshine -- what could be better than that? The quality of the wines is very high. We enjoyed it thoroughly and are looking forward to receiving our shipment of wines. Go and enjoy!

Florence was an absolutly delightful host. Giving just the right amount of detail without overwhelming us. Answering all our questions (we had lots) with kindness and knowledge. Very expert and friendly. Can't recommend a visit with her enough.

The range of wine is big, the quality is high, the location is beautiful and the staff are knowledgeable and friendly. Highly recommended.

Thanks so much for a wonderful afternoon, Florence.

Florence started our tour by teaching us how to open a bottle of cava with a sword! We learned a lot about biodynamic and organic farming. We started our tasting with delicious cava. We then enjoyed a white wine and several complex red wines. We were even able to try their olive oil! We had fun comparing our wine notes all the way back to Barcelona! Thank you for an amazing tour. It was a highlight to our Spain vacation. We can’t wait to receive our wines we ordered!

We had an awesome tour and tasting here. The vineyards and dank dark cave were both interesting to walk around. Our host, Florence was so friendly and cool -- she could tell we were wine enthusiasts and opened up all sorts of unusual, fun bottles as part of the "Essense" tasting. Easily worth the price per person and one of the highlights of our trip to Penedes. Oh, and the wine happens to be really good and interesting!
If you are wine tasting in the area, do yourself a favor and seek out some of the smaller artisanal producers over the cava factories.

The 2-hour tour including the tasting was amazing! We loved our guide Milena and the tour was very detailed and interesting. The wines in the tasting were great- even if you are a white wine lover the reds are like nothing you’ve had (so good!).

We found Pares Balta through our local wine shop in Chicago. When in Barcelona, we took the train and taxi out to the winery (very easy). It was an awesome experience, truly the highlight of our whole trip to Spain. Joan took us in a 4X4 to the various microclimates of the winery and we got to try wild berries, smell wild rosemary, and stop to look at ancient ruins. It was not only an informative tour but the wines were great too. We had a lovely tasting after the ride around the winery. We even went to a Pares Balta tasting event a few months late when Joan was in Chicago.

Received a lovely reception from this vineyard who were more than happy to take us on tour even though it was getting near closing time. Fantastic wine tasting and very informative. A vineyard which is pushing the boundaries with Chardonnay, Malbec and cab sauv all at penedes. Don't miss out.
