You can do kayaking of hiking. All information at the visitor center. Take bugs spray against sandfly.

May options for hiking in the area from day to multi day. Sandflies abound in some areas though. Plenty of bumble bees were out, too. Beware. Fabulous views in all directions.

A sunny day in between these lakes was all we need to enjoy this experience to the most. We visited lakes Rotoiti & Rotoroa. Both of them were beautiful, not so crowded.
