This area is incredibly striking. A place where the lava tubes meet the ocean. The snorkling here offers sharks, turtles, seahorses, pengiuns, and a plethora of beautiful fish, We went with wooden house on the tour. We were the first out there and had the place to ourselves for a little while. The tour took us to two separate locations,... More

You can find this day tour last minute on Isabela. We got it for 100.00 pp and it was a bit more than other paid (I had heard the same trip went for 85.00). We were happy with what we paid once we got out there. We snorkeled at a spot before getting to Los Tuneles (forgot the name but... More

Nice scenery on land and a great spot to tick off a lot of underwater wildlife, but not worth it if you've been on a cruise because you will have already been to better spots. BEWARE: DO NOT BOOK THROUGH HOSTEL LOJA OR ON THE POSEIDON BOAT. The guide (Fabian Salazar, license no. 127) did not respect the park or... More

Beautiful place, both for snorkeling around the underwater lava arches and walking on the otherworldly island. Sturdy shoes recommended for the rough, glassy island surface. However, there is only a short course you can walk on, so even people in sandals will be fine.

One of the best trips in Galapagos islands. Lava tunels are amazing. We saw a lot of marine turtles, penguins from very close. The sharks were sleeping in the cave where we could see them too.

This was one of the best outings we had during our time in the galapagos. This is done as a day trip, you'll be nose to nose with lots of blue footed boobies. during the snorkeling portion saw sharks, sea turtles, stingrays, sea horses, penguins, and much more. In talking to other travelers, the experience one has often depends on... More

I would say this is a must visit while in the Galapagos, the unique landscape combined with the types of animals you see is truly incredible. You are literally seeing endemic species that are only found in the Galapagos. We saw blue footed boobies, Galápagos penguins, sea horses, white tip sharks, giant sea turtles, and a lot more. I will... More

This is a total must for anyone visiting Isabela. But the best recommendation I got was to go at low tide - otherwise you don't get a good view of the lava tunnels above water. Try to get some details about your guide, it makes a big difference for finding the wildlife and making sure your group is briefed on... More
