There are several viewpoints along the road to the Wall of Tears, this really wasn't that inspiring, not a lot to see other than a lake on the day we visited.

One of the viewpoint on water complex reachable from the main path to Wall of Tears, you can rest there for a while or take pictures.

There are many short and easy side trails from the trail to the Wall of Tears, and this one of the minor ones. It leads to a lookout onto a lagoon which is neither special nor spectacular. On your way back from the Wall of Tears, see whether you still have time and stamina. If yes, go there, if not, there is nor reason to regret. There are several lookouts over the lagoons, and they look pretty much the same.

you can rent a bike to go to Los Tunos or just go hiking from Puerto Villamil, the mirador is the first stop in the way to "The Wall of Tears" and it has actually a charming view of the ponds that are part of the wetlands system in this area. If you like to go further, then you will find other nice spots to rest and make pictures since it is a beautiful way to go.
