Of all the places we visited in the West MacDonnell ranges, this was the least impressive. It wasn't that there was anything wrong with it, but all the surrounding sights were superior with more to see and do, not to mention they're free and Standley...More

Thank you for taking time to review on Tripadvisor. We're quite surprised & disappointed to hear you were "underwhelmed" by the natural beauty of the landscape at Standley Chasm ANGKERLE, this would be considered un-usual by the majority of our very satisfied visitors. We are...More

No doubting it’s a lovely place and it’s a picturesque and short walk in on a good path but $12pp save your money!Simpson’s Gap is closer to Alice Springs, free and in my opinion just as good if not better.

We drove out to Standley Chasm, which is about 50 km west of Alice Springs. We loved the fairly level red dirt path to the Chasm and the spectacular walk through it. The red rock high cliffs with the rocky remains of a stream bed...More

If you dont travel anywhere else then make sure you do Standley Chasm. Some say its best at midday but as a photographer it is definitely better one hour before midday and one hour after.

great landscape and if you make the effort to read the signs you can learn a lot about the area and history. Lovely staff at the kiosk and food quite ok.

A beautiful trail follows a small creek to the chasm. We spotted several different birds on the short walk. It was early morning so the sun was coming in from the opposite side. It was very beautiful.
