This is a magical place, from the entrance you can see how special it is and the magic that transmits.
The ticket price is accessible, childrens and student a don't pay showing their student credential.
I fell in love whit the wonderful view that it has, this place is surrounded by nature and you can see a variety of species.
You'll have to climb 400 steps to reach the archaeological and there are 6 monuments, I particularly like the ''house of the sun''
You have a full view of Malinalco from there. I hope I can come back soon.

Not nearly as big as Teotihuacan but very impressive due to it's significancy and location. The 20 minute climb is fully worth. So sad for the incredible damage done by the Spanish conquistadores.

Nice walk up , great views of town. Small and quick place to visit. Modest official entrance fee. Make sure to wear comfortable shoes.

This archaeological zone in the State of Mexico is located on a hill in the magical town of Malinalco. You have to climb more than 400 steps, so if you are not in condition, you have to take your time. The archaeological zone is small and is the only one in central Mexico that was carved in stone. You cannot access the main building but from the pyramid in front you can have a good view. The visit will not take more than an hour once on the hill.

A great hike up many steps to a small ruin at the top of the mountain. The path is nice, entrance fee was 60 pesos. They had placards in English and Spanish. Took an hour total (round trip). I recommend visiting Museo Luis Mario Schneider afterwards as this museum houses many things found on the site.

The cost is minimal around 50 pesos although if you have a Mexican teacher’s card, it’s free! The climb is long so take water. The information tablets at the top describing the site are in English and Spanish. An amazing view overlooking Malinalco and original stone structures, definitely worth the walk.

This was worth the climb up above Malinalco although we chose the wrong time of the day as it was incredibly hot so you must take a couple of bottles of water each if you go around midday at this time of the year! The views are great from the top and we didn't have a huge amount of time so didn't stop to read all the historical signs (some but not all of them have an english version). I think if we had had a little more time we would have appreciated the history behind the ruins more and from a rather ignorant point of view I would say don't expect anything spectacular when you reach the top but, as I say, worth the walk and lovely views of the town and the cathedral.

We came here on a work trip, about 2 1/2 hours from Mexico City. If you're closer, it's a nice visit to see the temple and pyramid. The walk up isn't that bad, it takes less than half an hour and there are signs along the way (mainly in Spanish and local dialect.) Once you reach the site, it's a very short climb up to the top of the pyramid for views of the city below.
From Mexico City, there are more impressive ruins much closer. Also, with little effort, the signage and descriptions could be greatly improved.
Advice: bring tissues. The public toilets do not have toilet paper.

This is a must for people that likes walking (step climbing) plus archeology. In this town there are three piranids to the top of the hill. It is a 30 to 40 minutes step climb to the top. The scenery is very beautiful. Step are quite good in terms of quality and step size. Climb is not as hard as el Tepozteco (another must). An excellent choice to come with family.

¿Cómo llego a ella?
