OK accommodation but extremely loud music! Cannot sleep. Wouldn’t book over the weekend unless you expect to be out late
Feb 2020 • Family
Accommodation was of the expected standard but did not cover to feel as if people were holding the karaoke in our room! Could not sleep due to the extremely loud ‘singing’ Will not book again.

Four weeks for refund! RIPOFF
Mar 2019 • Solo
I booked a room through Booking.com for a May stay which I cancelled a week ahead of the cancellation period ending. It then took FOUR weeks for my refund to be returned by the Jollys! Booking.com made it clear that the hotel charged my card, not the website and I know this for a fact since Paul at the Jollys reached out to me to confirm the credit card information and my card was charged immediately after. I sent numerous emails to Paul after waiting two weeks to see the cancellation on my credit card he FINALLY replied that its Booking.com that should issue the refund. AGAIN it was Paul I directly communicated with and sent my credit card information to - NOT Bookings.com. All of my correspondence stated to contact the hotel directly regarding refunds but I contacted Booking.com and they again confirmed it was the hotel that charged my card. FOUR weeks later I finally have my refund and Booking.com emailed to tell me it came from the hotel not them. That they issued NO refund to me. The Jollys wanted to hold onto my money for as long as possible. DO NOT trust them with your money.

Average place but lack of sleep though
Jan 2019 • Solo
The staff are nice here. When I checked in (which you do at the bar), the lady was on it straightway and gave me the details for the key safe for my keys and internet code etc.
When I returned to the bar they asked about the heating and I said it was a bit chilly so they sent someone straightaway to turn it up, which was appreciated.

The room was clean enough and had everything that you would need for an overnight stay. Although there are shared shower and toilet facilities, which when you need the toilet at 5am, you have to go out to the corridor and landing area for the loo, so had to get dressed.
There was an issue with the noise though, the window was single pane so the traffic kept me up, then in the morning woke me up really early, and there is also a bus stop to the front of the place. So I only had just over four hours uninterrupted sleep.

There is complimentary tea, coffee and bottled water, clean towels.

You can’t park there as they have no parking so I did end up spending quite a bit to park my car in a multi-storey car park, which was a bit of a pain, as you can’t buy in advance for the next day, so at 06:45 I was walking in the dark and rain to buy a new ticket for the following day so I didn’t get a parking-ticket. Not ideal at all.

Brilliant value for money
Sep 2018 • Friends
This is the 2nd time we've stayed here and I have to say it's brilliant value for money. The rooms are immaculately clean, as are the bathrooms. Tea, coffee and bottled water in the rooms. £8 for a taxi into town, much cheaper than staying in town. Already booked again for November👍

Noisy rooms, unsafe furnishings
Nov 2017 • Friends
On a casual glance the rooms look IKEA-ish and pleasing to the eye. Cheap modern furnishings badly assembled and dangerous. Noise from pub below and the main road. Enjoy the pub , which seems like a pleasant watering hole, but sleep elsewhere.

Top pub!
Aug 2016 • Friends
The Jollys is a great traditional ale house with two decent sized rooms and a tidy little garden area to the rear.
There are televisions if you want the sport and friendly service from the bar staff.
It is a popular pub and that is always a good sign. The beer is cold and always in good condition and the prices are reasonable.
Give it a go for a quiet pint or sit outside on a sunny day.....Enjoy!

Good value ish
Weekend rooms in Liverpool can be limited and expensive - football I guess. So when I booked at the last minute for this trip my options where a bit limited. Jolly's is a sports bar / pub with a few rooms above. Facilities are sparse and decor / furniture average.
Staff friendly and helpful and can't do enough for you.
So all in all its ok.

Great room
We stayed here for one night mid week. The room was great, nice and clean. The two toilet and shower rooms were also spotlessly clean. The staff were great and friendly, they couldn't do enough for you. We would definitely stay again as it wasn't too far out of the town centre. The only downfall was that there isn't any parking for the pub itself, there are car parks very close by, and the owner showed us a road to park in which wasn't too far to walk. Overall a great place.
