At Inland Adventures we offer stunning full day and multi day wilderness raft tours as well as a fun half day family trip. The rivers we raft range from friendly grade 2 to exhilerating grade 4 so there is something for everyone. Our day trip on the Upper Grey River/Māwheranui is our most popular tour. The grade 3 rapids keep you entertained all day and the towering mountains, steep walled gorges and lush green native forest mean this trip is jam packed with amazing scenery. If you are really wanting to spend some time in the New Zealand wilderness then a multi day trip is for you. Choose between a longer stretch of the Upper Grey River or the Waiau River near Hanmer Springs. We supply the camping gear as well as delicious meals and snacks. Evenings spent beside the river with a cozy fire are pretty special.

Wow! We took the children (aged 8 and 11) on the half-day raft adventure on the Arnold River and would highly recommend it! Our tour guide Nathan made sure that we all felt safe and confident, particularly as it was the first time the children had been rafting. We all had an absolutely fantastic time and wish we could go again!

We had a great few hours on the Arnold River with Nathan. Very experienced guides, a focus on safety but also a big focus on having fun and enjoying the ride. Nathan is a excellent operator, even ringing a few days beforehand to check all was okay with the planned trip (family of 4), and went over some options. Much appreciated. Great scenery and a memorable family experience. We're all keen to return for a longer trip in the future. Highly recommended!

Couldn’t have asked for a better experience with Nathan. Very knowledgeable in his field and of the area. Beautiful scenery and a truly great experience. Would highly recommend doing one of the trips, next time we will definitely do a multi day trip.

We have just returned from a 5 day Clarence river trip. We had a fantastic time. Ruth and Nathan gave us a trip we will never forget. We were looked after so well...the food was amazing, the camp sites were beautiful, even in the rain they made sure we were warm and ensured that everyone's needs were attended to. The river itself gave us some great rapids and also time to check out the bird life and see the changes to the river post 2016 earthquake. We also had a 5 other customers on the trip and over the 5 days we got to know them really well. We had lots of laughs and were lucky to have some bird experts on board so got to identify some bird species...thanks you guys you added to a wonderful 5 days. Thanks so much Ruth and Nathan for a great 5 days away.

A group of 6 of us rafted the Waiau River with Inland Adventures. It was fantastic fun! Incredible guides, fabulous food, great gear and amazing scenery. And some very cool rapids too. So good, we're arranging another trip later in the year.

My family and I did the Arnold Family Raft 1/2 Day Tour with Nathan and it exceeded all expectations.
It was my children's (11, 10 and 6 years) first exposure to white water rafting and it was perfect. Nathan was so clear on what to expect and made it fun for the whole family. He regularly checked in with the kids to make sure they felt comfortable and we all had a blast.
Nathan took us rafting, let us go for a dip in the water and even fed us and gave us a warm drink at the end of the day.
Would highly recommend Inland Adventures.

Wonderful, trip, Upper Grey. Nathan amazing professional head guide with great staff..Sonny, Ethan and Jaron guides. Awesome team. Great food.. Camping by river marvelous. Looked after mostly 60 + , team of 14. I would recommend those keen for adventure before dementia to do this trip. You'll have an adventure never to forget.

We had another fantastic trip with Inland Adventures. This time on the Waiau River for three days. Excellent guides, great fun, great food! we were so well looked after. Loved it - Thanks Mule, Chunk, Nathan and Ruth

Worth every cent, and can't wait to go again. We were very well cared for, Nathan and Bubbles were fantastic. Rapids were thrilling, gorge beautiful, lunch delicious. Can't fault this fabulous day one bit!

Just got back from a truly amazing trip. Nathan and his fellow guides Ruth and Phil gave us an experience of a lifetime. 9 friends from across NZ met to enjoy each other’s company in stunning scenery. We were treated to amazing food and our every need was met. Thanks Nathan for a memorable holiday.
