I am not the biggest fan of glass-art but this museum has succeeded to let me see the beauty and be interested in the specific techniques that make glass art so typical and yet very diverse. The museum shows a wide range of different glaas art-examples and the videos that show how some things are being made are very informative and efficicient. I also appreciate the focus on the history of the glass industry in the region and the appreciation for its craftmanship. A must do when in the region, even if you're sceptical as I was.

Fascinating. Well displayed. Full of light and color. I highly recommend a visit to this new museum recently installed in an area once famous for its glass manufacturers. Today it provides a showcase for contemporary glass makers as well as exhibiting the historical trésors in its collections.

A new museum that is worthwhile visiting if you are in the neighborhood from Hautmont & Maubeuge, France. Sars-Potteries has a long history in glass-making. You can notice that already when entering the village. Look on the roof tops of the houses, you'll see roof-finials. They are a tribute to the glass-making. There are lots of national & international artist showing there sculptures & makings. Definitely something you would enjoy.
