We took a private 6 hour charter with Captain Alan's and it was an amazing day. Even though the open water portion of our trip was rough, our Captain, Jarvis handled the waves extremely competently and we never felt a second of hesitation. Actually it added excitement to our trip.

We visited 4 different sites and the water was so clear during our two snorkeling stops. We saw sea turtles, stingrays and a large variety of coral and tropical fish.

We stopped at Grand Case for our prepared included lunch, and OMG it was delicious. Homemade pasta salad, fruit salad and sandwiches. Our last stop was Pinel island, where we were able to see iguanas and get a delicious guava berry colada.

We had a very good selection of beer alcohol and Captain Alan's rum punch, in addition to several non-alcoholic drinks provided through our trip. The first mate Elisa made sure we were very well attended. They both had a great ability to teach us about everything we saw on our tour.

Overall, I can't imagine that there is a better boat trip to take on the island.

We chartered the boat for a 6 hour cruise with 10 people (7 adults and 3 teenagers). It was the perfect boat for day. Great Sun coverage.
We had Captain Marcus for the day who was amazing and his crew was Jersun ( Captain Allan’s son). They provided us with snacks and a lovely lunch. There were lots of non alcoholic beverages, two types of beer and Marcus made an amazing rum punch.
We went to Tintarre to swim with turtles, Pinel Island, Grand Casse and Creole Rock. Creole Rock had the best snorkelling.
I can’t recommend this charter company enough.
Thank you for a great day.

We chartered Captain Alan for a private tour. It was THE BEST snorkeling experience we’ve had and we’ve snorkeled around the world. Captain Alan was personable, knowledgeable, accommodating, and extremely professional.

We saw everything from turtles to the sometimes elusive Queen Angel fish! 🤗 We paid for a private experience and what we got was specifically tailored to our needs. I have no doubt that a regular snorkel tour would be a wonderful experience, but if you can, paying for a private experience is well worth it.

This is a family run company and they do a spectacular job.

We couldn’t have asked for a better experience! Thank you Captain Alan!

We had scheduled a 6 hr boat tour. I read the reviews and was really excited. We visit the island for several weeks every jan for the last 3 years. My biggest pull was getting to see creole rock. They seemed really helpful with booking. Because we were on a cruise this time getting info through internet was difficult. They had been closed all week due to weather which they explained to us when we showed up. They also told me our 6hr tour was cancelled. Normally with something like that I like advance warning so I have a choice to make different arrangements. They refunded me in cash after they said no trip. I asked if we could pay more for a private boat trip they only had one boat. I just really wish we had pre warning! All the snorkel
Spots were not good at the time due to weather. Visibility was very poor. Which wasn’t there fault but again pre warning would of given us a choice to do something else. There saving grace at this point was the crew on board they were kind and accommodating. Al was our captain and I can’t remember the girls name but she was very kind. The boat ride was really fun. I think more communication is key. They do have fantastic people working for them. We go back again next January hopefully weather permitting I can see creole rock this time.

My partner and I booked the Anguilla tour this year. (1/17/20) After having done the Three Island tour a few years ago, we knew we wanted to go back to Captain Alan!

I recommend booking the transport to/from the trip via their transport partner. It made our day easy/smooth.

When you arrive, you're checked in and fitted for fins. From there, the captain, first mate, and crew are introduced. Then you board the boat and after a clear safety demo you're on your way! Word to the wise: If you're sitting in the front of the boat, you'll have the best view, but you may also get soaked.

The Anguilla tour stops at various locations around the island. You stop at incredible beaches, islands, coves, and caves. The snorkeling visibility was really excellent, but if it wasn't I would have been just as happy to relax on the boat with a rum punch and enjoy the incredible views. Go with the expectation of stellar views and a great tour guide, but know that the snorkeling will vary from island to island/day to day, as the charter company can't perfectly predict the turbidity/quality of the water at the snorkeling spots from their marina 30km away.

We saw sea turtles, gorgeous fish, new coral growth. I definitely plan on booking with them for our next trip.

Wonderful way to spend a day. Three snorkel stops, Alan got in the water with us at each stop to guide us to the best turtles and fish. Plus a snack plus lunch and rum punch. Alan is also a wealth of knowledge about Sint Martin. Would give him six stars if it was allowed.

There is no better snorkel trip host than Captain Alan and his team. Every single year we book with them, for almost 10 years, and it is always a 100% win with pleasant, skilled guides who make the day special. One year we waited to book and were not able to secure a spot, so we tried another company-bad idea. Just not the same!

Alan guided us this year, with his teenaged son Jersen, who was a delight and who engaged our two teens with football on the beach, jokes and a spontaneous guided climb on one of the stops.
Alan was more than a gracious host when a family basically abandoned their ~4 year old daughter while they snorkeled with their older son, and left Alan in charge of entertaining her for at least 1/3 of the trip. This was after the family arrived 30 minutes late and left all of the rest of us waiting. He never complained, nor was anything other than professional for the entirety of the experience-much more accommodating than I would have been and it just shows how dedicated he is and how he values his customers.

Do not use anyone else! It will not be a Captain Alan experience.

Phenomenal 6 hour tour to Tintamarre, Pinel Island, Creole Rock and GrandCase. Our Captain, Marcus was an unbelievable guide who had us snorkeling with sea turtles, rays, beautiful coral and lots of amazing fish. He was a great guide, bartender, and iguanna whisperer
He prepared an amazing meal, managed a sea sick passenger with grace and professionalism, and ensured everyone from 8mths to 75yrs old had a good time. Highly recommend Capt Alan and his SXM team.

We have experienced Captain Allen‘s 4 hour snorkeling tour at least nine or 10 years, and it’s always fantastic. We always have our child with us, which means he was about five our first time! The staff is always professional, fun, and extremely attentive. The trip is always consistent so you know what you’re going to get—a fun, quality snorkeling tour. Today our captain was Marcus, who truly understands customer service and how to help people have a great time. He showed us conch shells, brought a sea urchin to the surface for us to touch, pointed out stingrays and sea turtles where they’re not usually seen, had lots of jokes and was quite attentive when one of our party grew a little seasick. He has great local knowledge, has a wonderful sense of humor, and makes out Board in the rough waters the best we’ve seen here! Could not recommend this tour any higher!

We had a great tour in Anguilla with Captain Alan's boat. The crew were really relax and enjoyable and we made multiples stops around the island, that was really appreciated ! We had great snorkling at my favorite beach : little beach, I was thrilled because we stayed there for a while to have lunch and we had enough time to snorkel and swim, we were not feeling rush which is always the issue with tours in general.
That was also great to see the island from near the coast (motor boat can go closer to the coast) and admire the beautiful scenery !
We went to Sandy Island, Scrub Island as well, thoses stop were fantastic !

May I propose a new thing : it could be cool to stop at a restaurant in Anguilla to eat instead of eating sandwiches on the boat (exclude the dinner price from the tour of course). There was so many great restaurants :-)

The price is really fair and include all the taxes and fees to go to Anguilla.
Thanks a lot for the trip, we will do it again with great pleasure!
