A great place to stop for a quick break if driving to the East End. Very easy walk, wheelchair accessible. Interesting story about the tragedy on reader boards. Very nice view. Ratings will go up once the gift shop is open. Worth a visit.

The memorial has parts of old wrecks, not any associated with the actual ten sails, but the view is good and the story is interesting.

The story is most interesting, and the artifacts too. It is also a beautiful spot, so if you're on the East End, definitely stop by!

Great stop! Great signage explaining the story and site. Markers noting where each ship went down. Great views, trails and decks to view the coast.
Restrooms on site. Nice parking area.
Stop at Tukka’s for lunch after - they have binoculars and a map sheet for u to borrow to see another view of the site.

stopped by as it was down the road from big tree bbq (great food btw!).
Not well marked, small parking area. It had a giant propeller outside. You had a 2-3 minute walk thru some gardens and then you get to the monument overlooking the coastline. If your exploring and near the area you can stop, otherwise not worth going out of your way

Just a short walk off the road, it’s worth the stop for the nice view of the ocean near sunset. On the walk you’ll see flowers and butterflies as well!

I visited this attraction by taking Bus 7 from Georgetown to the nearby Old Lighthouse attraction, which cost $3.50 KYD. After viewing the lighthouse, I then walked 1.2 km north to this attraction. As is the case with the lighthouse, there was not much to see. Entrance is free, and the park is always open to visitors. Public transportation in this area is irregular, so be careful not to visit too late. The propeller and lead keel displays at the park entrance are unrelated to the 10 sails, as they are exhibits from Marine accidents which occurred in the 1960's. There is surprisingly nothing on the site which relates to the 10 sails wreck.
As you walk on the tree covered path towards the cliff, you will be rewarded by a fantastic view of the ocean. We visited at sunrise and took great photos of the first rays peeking through the clouds in the background of the monument. A deck area is to the right of the monument, and best photos are taken here. The monument was installed in February 1994, to recognise the 200th anniversary of the disaster. A plaque on the monument has this information. Parts of the wreck are said to be still visible on the reef.
All 10 ships in the convoy were sunk, but the Islanders rescued 450 of the 458 sailors. The small concrete columns to the left and right of the monument are represent those who perished. There are six columns to the left and 2 to the right of the monument. An extra two blocks to the far right on the cliff had electrical wires protruding, so we assumed that these were once security lights of the park. On leaving the park, if you continue walking north towards the aptly named "Gun bay", two rusty cannons which were recovered from the wreck will be seen on the left in an open area near to the road.
There is not much to see on the East End, but if you take an early bus (departs Georgetown at 6:05 am) and takes 1 hour, this may be an enjoyable walk in an area of little traffic and few tourists. Two more canons from the wreck were installed at the Bodden Town Guard House Park, which is an area that you have to pass on the return trip to town. If you are interested in Maritime history, the lighthouse monument next to Fort George, is also known as the seaman's monument, and lists names of sailors who died at sea and in the Heroes Square, a list of the ships and passengers who met tragedy can be viewed. A short walk behind the courthouse on Albert Panton Street, leads to a great mural of the 10 sail disaster.
This is not a must see in Cayman, but if you enjoy exploring rarely visited areas, then this trip to the eastern end of the island may be of interest. Note that when you wish to return to the city, all buses in this area do a "loop" and return to Georgetown, so take any bus that you see, as it doesn't matter which direction they are travelling in.

Thought that there may be something still left of the wreck, but this is more of a stone monument to mark the queen's visit.
